I have read a lot of commentaries on books of the Bible. This one is unique for several good reasons.
First, it’s biblical true to the scriptures. It explains, illustrates and applies the verses as you’d expect in a commentary that lets the text speak for itself.
Second, there are great stories from our day that mirror the amazing stories found in the book of Acts showing that God is still at work today in dramatic ways.
Third, its heartbeat is to encourage the reader towards courageous obedience.
I’ve met Steve and listened to his podcast (movements.net; on Apple Podcasts too). He’s the real deal and Australian to boot. Great sense of purpose and sense of humor!
Highly recommend this for anyone hungry to know and follow Jesus more.
