Cute, better than the first book for sure. At least Brightheart had an idea of what Amy has been sent to do. Brightheart is a likeable pony. Amy being able to joust in full armor, when she's never worn anything like that before was eyebrow raising though...

My favorite part was when Amy won a knights competition with Brightheart that you needed to get the other knight of the horse by jousting. - 6 years old

The magic pony carousel has come to the town fair! Amy wants to ride the beautiful dark bay pony named Brightheart. As soon as she settles into the saddle, the magic carousel whisks them off on an adventure. She and Brightheart travel back to the days of knights and princesses. Will she be able to fight like a knight in time to help a young prince?
