Ce texte est la transcription du film, Simone de Beauvoir, de Malka Ribowska et Josée Dayan, réalisé par Josée Dayan. Il a été tourné au mois d'avril 1978 à Paris, Rome, Venise, Rouen et Marseille. Works of Simone de Beauvoir, French writer, existentialist, and feminist, include The Second Sex in 1949 and The Coming of Age, a study in 1970 of views of different cultures on the old.
Simone de Beauvoir, an author and philosopher, wrote novels, monographs, political and social issues, essays, biographies, and an autobiography. People now best know She Came to Stay and The Mandarins, her metaphysical novels. Her treatise, a foundational contemporary tract, of 1949 detailed analysis of oppression of women.
A remarkable book about Beauvoir. However, I audiobooked this title, and in some sections readers with very strong French accents read quotes in English. I believe that the accents were purposely strong in an attempt to make the experience more authentic. It meant lots of rewinding for me. Beauvoir was a remarkable, original woman who I think might be overlooked nowadays.
