There’s more. To celebrate the final tales of two kingdoms in the Broken Kingdoms, as the bonus scene you can now enjoy a novel-length collection of bonus content in THESE WICKED CROWNS.
Bonus content from before the Timoran raids, to the years after Dance of Kings and Thieves ends. Over 50,000 words of extras with both the Northern and Eastern Kingdoms.
I consider myself blessed I'm able to do this for a living. I live for fantasy books as a reader and author. I adore books like An Ember in the Ashes, The Night Angel Trilogy, Harry Potter, The Great Library series...I could go on.
Before I write I have four young humans I keep alive and love them to the stars and back again. I live in Utah with my sexy husband, the kiddos, two paranoid dogs, and a sinister cat. Between finishing a second degree, running a business, and eating too much chocolate, I love writing early in the morning when no one is awake. If you can't tell, I basically function on caffeine.
Nice short stories from all parts of the books. I will say to be careful about spoilers. It says this is 6.5 in the series but really you shouldn’t read this until you are done with all of the other books. Even though it tells you what you need to read before to not see spoilers, I think some parts were forgotten and minor spoilers for later books were in places not disclosed ahead of time.
I read a different novella by her but it’s not on Goodreads, so ya know *goodreads 2025 reading goals* but yeah anything by this author is amazing so yolo
it was so hard to find this book but i found the link at the end of book #6, joined the mailing list, & it was instantly emailed to me for free. i thought it was worth a read, it made me fall in love w all the characters again from both series. all sweet short stories, no drama included!
This book says #6.5 and I’m so happy I stopped reading and read #7 first cuz there is a lot of spoilers. So read #7 first. I loved this book and thank you for the bonus content!
A series of shorts organized in (mostly) chronological order (Ari and Saga’s story is out of place) bonus scenes and POV changes. Some of these have been released individually already via newsletter sign-ups but there’s many I haven’t read before. A few have even been expanded and released in longer format (such as Nik and Junie’s story or Tor and Sol’s. All are entertaining as well as informative.
You’ll get how Lillian and Arvad met and into having littles; Torsten and Sol’s sweet confessions that they loved one another (this one is expanded and worth the extended release as These Cruel Vows), more of the Ferus clan when King Eli invades, Hagen and Herja’s meeting; a sweet story of young Kase and Malin; Elise as a teen; Little Bird and Lump’s first meeting; Niklas’s first run-in with a young Luca and Nightrender that leads to Nik and Junie’s story (also expanded and released as These Vicious Games— a definite read!); another Elise story of her run-in with the Blood Wraith which leads into Elise and Legion; Ari’s tale of healing the lands of Etta. We then take a big leap into Kase learning Malin is pregnant; alone time for Elise and Valen when the grandparents babysit Livia; Tor and Sol on the anniversary of Sol learning Tor is alive; Kase, Malin and the boys coach ride to Laila’s Rave graduation; Saga’s first glimpse of Ari when her heart first begins to thaw and finally, Eric Bloodsinger, teen king and friends visit a haunted sea cave!
A great collection of tales to help tide us over until the next Ever Seas book in 2026. It’s fun, it’s free- hop onto the author’s website to find links to this and more shorts.
I absolutely loved reading this. It was such a treat. The mix of different stories and perspectives made it feel really special. Some parts were heartbreaking, others were lovely and all of it was so well done. I didn’t want to put it down.
I really loved the meeting between Lilianna and Arvad! Their connection was so beautiful, and I wish we’d gotten a bit more of their story.
Torsten and Sol’s young love hit me right in the feels. Their struggle and the way they finally admitted their deep feelings had me tearing up. It was so pure and emotional
I have to say, the Raids were really difficult to read. Even though we already knew a lot about them from the previous books, experiencing some of those scenes from different perspectives made it all feel so much heavier and more real. It was heartbreaking but also powerful.
Also, the story of how Hagen and Herja met? Oh my god, I adored that. Such a fantastic addition, and I couldn’t get enough of it.
Honestly, I just loved all the stories so much. I would be thrilled if we ever got novellas for each of these couples, but even if we don’t, I’m really happy with what we got. This collection felt like such a gift.
And I have to say, if you’ve read books 1 through 6, you can enjoy almost everything in this without worrying about spoilers. Only the final part, “The South and Seas,” contains spoilers. But the book clearly warns you about that section. So go ahead and enjoy it!

1st reading: This book is a collection of bonus scenes related to The Broken Kingdoms series, including some prequels, e.g., things that happened in the North before and during the Raids when the Timorans invaded Etta. This book is likely less edited than the formally published books, if at all. As a consequence, there are even more strange errors of punctuation and word usage, at times making the prose awkward. However, these are scenes involving characters that we know and love, so we can be forgiving. Of particular note is the very first chapter, where we learn how Arvad and Liliana met. When we meet her later in life, we know Liliana is no shrinking violet, but to see her as a young woman, fighting for survival in the wild and rescuing Arvad himself after he's fallen into a frozen lake - this gives her a new dimension. Other noteworthy scenes include the meeting of Herja and Hagen, the meeting of Niklas and Junius, and Legion's POV of the scene where Elise comes to scold him for threatening Sivie and ends up helping him because he's suffering the aftereffects of his curse. Disturbingly, there are scenes of torture (mostly starvation and deprivation) of the Night Folk princes and a moment in the delusioned thoughts of King Eli, who slowly comes to the realization that no one cares for him the way she cares for Arvad. I didn't read the last chapter in the book, as it's a bonus scene for The Ever King, which I have not yet read.

- ummm I wanna hear more about Liliana and arvad!!! Just all little fluffy stuff pleaseeee - tor and sol literally break my heart especially knowing what happens to them. I’m so glad they’re alive and well - Liliana and arvad “I don’t know why I love you.” “I fight every day not to love you.” We laughed at the words we used to say when we once fought the feeling in our hearts.” Awwwwwwwww - idk why I thought nik and junie were old people but they’re not and I’m intrigued by them. Can’t wait for their novella/story - I’m just so happy that all the ferus siblings are safe and have happy endings 🥹🥹🥹

This is a collection of little stories from many characters' perspectives that are organized by before the series takes place, during books 1-6, and during and after books 7-9.
I began reading this after book six (because it's listed on Goodreads as book 6.5), not realizing there are spoilers for the entire series. You can easily read the first two parts after book 6, but you should complete the last trilogy before reading part 3.
While I did like getting insight into many of the couples, this book does need more editing. I was a little starting by the random errors as I was reading since I'm not used to it from the main series.
If you are looking for this one i found it through a code on the back of book 6.
I wouldn’t put it as a novella but more as a collection of short stories from all the books mixed together its best to read all the books first because it will spoil some things else. That being said
I loved these short stories my favourites were the ones of liliana and i would die of happiness if she ever gets her own novella bc omg i love her story!
These were all fun to read i love seeing more of the worlds and i am so happy she made short stories and bonus scenes like this to keep it alive
Such a wonderful compilation of stories from all of the beloved characters from The Broken Kingdoms series! The insights from the past were perfectly crafted and I absolutely loved the look into the future lives of each royal 💝
I always appreciate seeing the lives of characters after the major events in their stories take place and this small novel was just what the doctor ordered 🩺 Truly a wonderful way to bring together all the characters for a final hoorah 🎉
Tor and Sol’s chapters of this book were EVERYTHING! Those chapters alone get 5 stars. The rest of the chapters were fine. It was cool to see how some characters came to know one another and such, but I felt like I had enough of their backstory already. But would read again just for Tor and Sol 💖
The more-or-less novella I didn't know I needed. Absolutely loved having these little side-stories for all of these characters. As always, love Andrews' writing style, this was no exception. And I absolutely need more Sol/Tor and more Nik/Junie content! Loved it!
This is a collection of shorts best read after finishing the main Broken Kingdoms series and the two Ever King books. Descriptors are given during each section if readers want to read passages as they finish each group of books.
I loved reading the back stories of all the couples 🥹 but tbh, Malin and Kase continue to steal my heart and their chapters were my favourite 🫶🏽 this definitely should be read at the end of the series though as it contains spoilers for books 7-9! I luckily stopped myself just in time haha
Sweet novella to give us more little morsels of our favorite Broken Kingdoms and Ever Sea characters! Definitely be up to speed on the series’ before reading this, LJ clearly defines that some spoilers are contained in this book.
This was a good collection of added chapters and short stories with all our favorite characters from the Broken Kingdom series. I recommend not reading it until you have finished all the books in Broken Kingdom.
DELIGHTFUL bonus scenes and novellas. Absolutely loved reading about Lillianna & Advar meet cute, Sol & Tor getting together and all the bonus scenes, romance scenes and children. ❤️🔥
