Sister Olivia Morrell started her new job in the outback with some trepidation. She’d wanted to get away from it all but, in isolated Kimjong, there was only one doctor and by all accounts Dr Clemson made a moody and difficult boss!
Clem began to suspect his new nurse had come to town to get over a broken heart. But that didn’t prevent his attraction to her! Perhaps if Olivia had to learn that not all men were unreliable, he could be the one to teach her...
Carol Marinelli was born in England to Scottish parents, then emigrated to Australia, where there are loads of Scottish and English people who did exactly the same, so she’s very at home there.
She lives in the outer suburbs of Melbourne—pretty much in her car, driving her three children to their various commitments.
Carol writes for the Harlequin Presents and Medical lines and she also writes contemporary women's fiction (with a dark twist). When she's not writing she's reading, when she's not reading she's writing.
My notes : - it was in the 3 book series in one book . - i did enjoy the story but its just didnt make my 5 star list . - it was stupid plot with two dimensional characters - IM not big fan of medical romances but it was soemthing little out of my prefer genres that i like to read .

I enjoyed all the medical cases described in this story, but the heroine was a ridiculous character - hung up on her ex who cheated on her.
She reveled in self-pity and then very stupidly ignored her own health out of embarassment. What kind of health care professional is she? A crippling stomach ache after having glandular fever along with shoulder pain should have told her something was wrong. Like wth? She was more concerned about the hero's "girlfriend" who wasn't than what was going on in her own body.
Hero seemed an inconsistent character, but who could tell because the heroine could only think of her ex. I didn't believe in their romance.
The delivery of the premie baby was riveting, though.
I've been re-reading some of Carol Marinelli's early medical romances. This was her first published novel & is OK for a first book.
English-born nurse Olivia Morrell has left her job at Melbourne Central hospital after learning that she was the last person to find out that her fiance Dr Jeremy Forster was having an affair with a colleague. Jeremy appears in CM's next 3 novels but in those his surname is Foster. Olivia wants to go where no-one knows of her humiliation & accepts a job at a medical practice in Kirrajong, a drought-stricken wheat-belt town in NSW. The last 2 nurses have resigned because the widowed doctor 'Clem' Clemson is moody & difficult.
The constant use of 'youse' (for 'you') by the locals grates & nobody in Australia calls women 'sheilas' any more. The area is in drought but Olivia has a bubble bath up to her neck!
There's a Big Misunderstanding. Olivia no longer trusts men. She thinks Clem is in a relationship with a glamorous, patronising other woman but, of course, he's not.
