I hate writing reviews like this. I understand that the author has put her hard work, time, energy and heart into this book. With that being said this book wasn't good at all for soooooo many reasons.

This is the 4th book in the series but it's actually book #5 if you have read the prequel, which I have read every book in this series and actually LOVED every book but this one.

I'm not sure why Audrey Clementine had to change her writing style so much because she had a good thing going for her. After this book I'm not sure I would want to read anymore in this series.

She told us over and over and over again how Hank rescued her when her car broke down and what a good guy he was and how he saved the town Quinn. She over described EVERYTHING and everyone to the point I didn't know if I wanted to finish the book. I can't tell you how many times she described Matt and his "nerd look". There were quite a few typo's as well. I thought that's why you have beta readers. At least when I beta read for an author that's what I do.

The incessant describing of everything and everyone was just fillers in my opinion and didn't need to be there. Yes, I can understand describing and explaining once in the book so that way people who haven't read the first 3 books and prequel can be caught up. But to constantly repeat it was monotonous and ridiculous. How many times did we need to hear about Ben and how mean he was to her? This book could have been wrapped up in about 100-150 pages nicely and I probably would have been a lot nicer with my review.

The end of the chapters with Floofus and Doofus used to be fun and exciting, giving a different perspective on the story now they are basically the same monotonous drone, as what we had just read.

I read a lot and I mean a lot of cozy mysteries, normally I don't figure out who the killer is until it's revealed. However, this one was beyond easy to figure out with all the subtle clues in your face. The endless sneezing but only doing it when she was around one person or that person's things was clue number one. I don't want to give too much away here just in case you want to read the book but the point I'm trying to make is this felt like I was reading a book to my 10 year old grandson. Heck, some of the books he reads are harder than this and I get it, cozy mysteries are supposed to be fun, light and easy reads but come on this was just not good.

Again, I am truly sorry to be this harsh but there are soooo many other cozy mysteries out there that I can read and could have spent my time on other than this dribble.

Thank you to the author and Booksprout for my review copy. The above is my honest opinion and mine alone.

I liked the private island. Tom is my favorite character. I wasn't sure who the killer was.

This cozy is not only cute with the pets included in the story but it is a mystery caper as well. It starts with a rock band reunion on a beautiful island resort. Everyone is having a good time but then one is murdered. What happens next is puzzling and will have you guessing. This is a fast paced fun read.

Thank you Booksprout for the ARC

Misty Milton is on an island for her bachelorette party ahead of her wedding to Hank. She invited the memebers of his previous band and from there, murder ensues. The people become trapped on the island after a storm and are left with no power nor cell service so solving the case is up to Misty and her friends.
I feel that this book was not the best, for a few reasons.
The author chose to rehash the details of her past relationship in detail, not one or twice, but 3 times. As tho she needed to fill space. It became annoying to the point that I skipped over those parts, as by now, it was more than annoying to hear abt it multiple times. Also, on more than one occasion, she wrote, in detail, abt how Hank was a good man. He saved the town they live it. He saved her. How she felt so safe around him. Yet again, just adding in fluff that we already knew...several times over.
Then, abt halfway thru the book, the author starts using British English. She's never done this before in any of her previous books. Why now? It came off as very pretentious.
At the end of each chapter was a commentary from her two cats that was basically nothing more than a recap of what we'd just read. More fluff.
And last but not least, the killer was too easy to figure out.
The story here, mind you, isn't bad in itself. But it could've likely been pared down at least 100 pages if all the fluff had been taken away and had that been the case, I'd probably have given this book 5 stars.

Misty and Hank are going to a private island to celebrate their combined bachelor-batchelorette party with their friends Matt and Val, and Misty as a surprise to Hank invited his old band mates he hasn't seen in at least 10 years. With fun, food and relaxation and a reunion. The fur babies are pampered by the chef on the island and they are loving their break too. But all good things for Hank and Misty seem to have come to an end when a body is found of one of his old band mates. To make matters worse, there's a second body and Hank is missing. Where is he and is there a connection to the murders? Was Hank murdered? Did he have cold feet before their wedding? Add to all this and there is a major storm that confines them to the island, keeping the police away until it all clears and there is a power outrage. With Matt and Val and Floofus and Doofus, Misty has to look for clues and find the murderer before any one else is killed and above all find out what happened to Hank. With lots of clues and help, can she figure it all out? While reading, you do have an idea of whodunit but connecting those dots were taking you on a roller coaster ride! Another fun cozy mystery in this series that keeps you turning pages. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Misty Milton and her fiance, Hank Neuman, are planning a weekend getaway with their newlywed friends, Val and Matt. Misty also has an unexpected surprise for Hank. She has invited his old bandmates and backup singers from his earlier career as a singer songwriter. Misty and Hank hired a private island for the getaway and their group would be the only people there, along with their four-footed friends. His former bandmates greeted him by his Stage Name, Harley Higgs and everybody enjoyed the reunion. One of the backup singers, Francesca, wears a heavy dose of perfume which the cats could not tolerate.

The getaway celebration takes an unexpected turn when a storm kills all electricity and phone service to the island. Misty's cat, Floofus, hates getting wet and goes into hiding. The next morning, Misty found Floofus, but she couldn't find Hank. Then walking along the beach, Misty finds a band member, Jez, dead.

How did Jez die? Was he killed or was it accidental? Where is Hank? Will there be other deaths? Can Misty and her friends solve the mystery?

Audrey Clementine has a wonderful story with great characters and realistic situations. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader thoroughly engaged to the very end.

Celebrating their upcoming marriage, Misty and Hank have booked a private island with a dedicated staff and many activities to enjoy with their friends. All the pets have accompanied them and as a special surprise, Misty has invited Hank’s former band mates from his days as a rockstar. While there appears to be tension among the former members of the band, a dangerous storm approaches knocking out power and leaving the island isolated. With bodies turning up and a missing member of the party, Misty is frantic and she enlists the help of Val, Matt and even Floofus to find the truth. Will help arrive in time before another body is discovered. With Misty about to have her dreams come true, everything hangs in the balance and she doesn’t know who can be trusted. I have gotten to know these characters over the series and Misty deserves some happiness. I adore her clever kitties, Floofus and Doofus, who always find a way to provide some clues, and Val and Matt are ready to lend a hand. This island adventure is my favorite thus far and I highly recommend it. This is my honest review of an ARC I received from the author.

Misty and her friends can't even go for a bachelor/bachelorette/reunion party unless murder's involved somehow (but then we wouldn't have a book, right?). It's a good thing she had Matt and Val because after the band reunion, Hank mysteriously disappeared, and poor Misty who's had a really crummy past and self-esteem couldn't help thinking maybe he preferred Francesca, an old bandmate. I think most of her brain knew Hank wouldn't do that and that he really had no use for the woman, but her emotions were running pretty high the longer he went missing. Matt and Val helped a lot--they're such awesome friends!

I loved how Floofus got to play an important part in the mystery. Doofus is kinda carefree and just an "everyone loves me" kinda cat, but I could tell Floofus knew something was up and boy was it! The showdown was really cool and planned. Even Carl and Dixie showed up shortly after the arrest for a little after-party and farewell to the island. Can't wait till the next book!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by the author via BookSprout, and my opinions are my own.

Author Audrey Clementine has outdone herself with this awesome cozy mystery, The Rockstar Revenge at the Reunion, which is the fourth book in the Misty Milton Series. The best part of the book, actually, the whole series, is also narrating the incidents from the viewpoint of Floofus and Doofus, Misty's pet cats.

Misty Milton and her fiance, Hank Newman, are on a trip to a private island for the Bachelor/ Bachelorette party along with their friends, Matt and Val. Misty has planned a surprise for Hank. With the help of Matt, she invites Tom the guitarist, Marcus the drummer, Jez the keyboard player, Selena and Francesca the backup singer. They are Hank's former band members when he was a rock star.
In a turn of events, Hank goes missing, and Misty discovers two dead bodies within a short period of time. Someone is out to get this musical group. But who is it and why are the band members being target? And last but not the least, there's another mystery within the mystery. To find out what happens next, do grab this book which is available on Amazon.

Misty and her fiancé Hank are off to a private island for their join bachelor and bachelorette parties. Their friends Matt and Val will be there and as a surprise Misty invites Hank’s old band members to join them. First they’re on a tropical paradise and then the weather and the tenor of the trip take a turn for the worse. The power goes out, the rain pours, thunder and lightning and then Hank goes missing. Bad enough except two murders are the next bomb dropped on this happy occasion. Misty and her crew have solved their fair share of murders, but trapped in paradise can they find the truth before it’s too late?
Equal parts silly and serious. A twisty and thorny mystery plot to unravel. I enjoyed the commentary by the two kitties which kept the book like though the plot involved murder and was just funny to see the adorable behavior an thought process of the cats. My first Misty mystery but I’m definitely want to read more!.

Misty Milton and her fiancé, Hank Neuman are celebrating their joint bachelorette and bachelor party on a private island with 2 friends and their beloved pets. As a surprise Misty has invited Hank’s ex bandmates and backup singers to join them. Things start off well, but then a storm hits the island, and as things go from bad to worse they find themselves left with no power, internet or mobile phone service, and then a body is discovered on the beach. Can Misty, Hank and their pets solve this murder mystery?

I found this quite an easy read, and did guess the murderer. I did find the author repeated certain facts a few times and I also wasn’t sure on the thought process of the cats, but it was an enjoyable read. This is the 1st time I’ve read anything by the author, Audrey Clementine, and it hasn’t put me off, I would happily try another.

In this 4th book in the Misty Milton series, Misty and Hank are engaged and decide to have a special bachelor/bachelorette party weekend and hire a private island to host it. As a surprise for Hank, Misty decides to invite the members of his old rock band to help him celebrate. What she didn’t know is that there are some animosity’s and grudged still being held by various band members! Of course, the pair’s assortment of animals (cats Doofus, Floofus, Coco and Chanel, and French Bulldogs Napo and Leon) also come along. I love the commentary by Doofus and Floofus on the behavior of their beloved parents! A fun and exciting Murder Mystery, which I received a free ARC of from BookSprout. I recommend this series and book, and write this review voluntarily.

I love the Misty Milton mysteries. The Rockstar Revenge at the Reunion is a multi-layered story with lots of interesting and intriguing characters and an exciting mystery that had me turning the pages. I love Misty, Hank, and the furbabies and I love getting into the minds of Floofus and Doofus. Misty surprises Hank with a reunion of his band members on a tropical island. Little does she expect two of them would be murdered. A fierce storm knocks out power and the internet. Someone on the island is a murderer and no one can leave. It's like an Agatha Christie story as rockstars are getting picked off. Hank disappears, which causes Misty no end of stress as she tries to find who is murdering the rockstars and who might be next. Fun story that I highly recommend.

The Rockstar Revenge at the Reunion is book 4 in The Misty Milton Mysteries by Audrey Clementine. I think this series just get better with each book. Book 4 finds Misty and Hank going to an Island to celebrate their engagement… unknown to Hank, Misty invited his band members and back-up singers to the celebration. Along with Val, Matt and all of the fur babies, this celebration is perfect, if it wasn't for the storm knocking out the electricity and 2 murders! Floofus and Doofus lead Misty is getting to the bottom of the murders! I love the series, perfect characters, and cats and dogs… what more can I ask for? Misty and Hank go to a deserted island for their bachelor/bachelorette party with their friends Val and Matt. She had invited Hank previous band mates too. Jez one of the band players is found dead during a storm that hit the island. Then Marcus and someone had tried to garrotte him with a guitar strings. Hank goes missing and it was up to Misty as a police consultant authorised by detective Carl Burrows to find out who the killer was. A surprise and exciting finish to the read. This book leaves you guessing till the end who the killer was. I am on the ARC team and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.

Murder on the Island . . .

Misty Milton and Hank Neuman are joining friends for a weekend getaway and, as a surprise, Misty invites Hank’s old band members to make it a reunion party. The getaway will be held on a private island. But when a storm cuts off the power to the island, they are all kind of stranded there… and then Hank goes missing. And then another band member, Jez, is discovered dead. What killed him? What has happened to Hank? Are the rest of the band members in danger? Or will Misty and her cats, Floofus and Doofus, be able to solve the mystery before the death toll rises again?

Mystery on a private island!

Misty Milton is back again - this time she and Hank are taking Val, Matt and all the animals on a trip to a private island. Doesn’t this sound like heaven?

Misty has a big surprise for Hank but what is she going to do when bodies starts to pile up, Hank goes missing and on top off all this they are isolated from the mainland due to a big storm.

Misty has to try to hold it together, find clues to who is a murderer while at the same time take care of her friends, the animals and the invited guests.

Will Floofus and Doofus sniff out the clues this time? And will it be solved in time before more people or animals get hurt? Read and find out!

What a great book, another enjoyable story by Audrey Clementine! It’s fun, always interesting and the clues along the way lead to a satisfying conclusion to the mystery. That’s unlike some authors who keep your attention through the mystery but the resolution is so far out of the blue not to make any sense. That definitely is not her! If you wonder how cats can help solve a murder mystery pick this book up and find out! You’re sure to be drawn into the story, enjoy escaping to wonderful place (unless you’re one of the people killed there, that is!) and eager to read the others in

This tropical island holiday to celebrate their upcoming marriage doesn't turn out how Misty and Hank had planned. Misty's surprise get-together for Hank's old rock bank starts off fun, but quickly darkens when deaths occur. The chapter-ending comments by two of their cats were an interesting insight into some aspects of the story, but didn't really add much. The inclusion of pets does add a point of difference to other cosy mysteries though.

Love these books by Audrey Clementine. They are fun, full of mystery, surprises and wonderful animals. Misty's two main cats have a voice in these books; describing their impressions of what is happening around them. Ever curious and mostly happy, they have a unique view of the world around them. You can almost hear your own cat making these comments. As always, a wonderful easy flowing read with a great mystery. Even if you think you know who is responsible, you may not know everything you think you do.

A private island for their joint bachelorette/ bachelor parties. Paradise add in a few extras like Hank’s former band mates you have a reunion…. Everything is going swimmingly when theirs a monumental power outage which not only causes havoc but coughs up a couple of dead bodies and a race to solve the crime before becoming the next victims… well written as usual with the right recipe of humour sleuthing friendships and romance and of course not forgetting the cats and the not cats….

One would think a carefully planned band reunion on a secluded island resort would be perfect, but then the Heavens opened up and it started raining cats and dogs. Misty’s feline companions, Floofus and Doofus, help investigate when bodies start stacking up like piles of sheet music. No one gets on or off the island so who did it? Where is Misty’s fiancé? How do they survive with no electricity and no cell phone service?

Thank you to Booksprout for this free ARC. All the opinions are mine and mine alone.

Misty, Hank and all their fur babies are headed out for a bachelor/bachelorette party trip along with some of their closest friends. When band members from Hank’s past life as a musician join their midst, things go sour. I love the main characters in this series and feel they are like old friends after reading several of these books. The feline points of view from Floofus and Doofus are always very entertaining!

This was a real page turner. This was the first book in the series that I read and it was easy to catch up with the characters. I really liked the characters and getting to know them.

Mildly Amusing.

Not well written, with continuity issues, names that sounds more like a mock, abrupt changes of subject and a narration more suited for young teens, the only saving of this story is the somewhat interesting characters. The mystery is a bit too simple to solve as well and it gets a lot of the ideas from Agatha Christie and Midsummer Murders.

I received an Advanced Reader copy from Netgalley for my honest review. The storyline was interesting with lots of potential suspects. However, I struggled with the cats having dialogue in each chapter. I am not a cat lover, so my bias may be showing. There were clues given and I was correct in my choice of suspect about halfway through. This is part of a series that I haven’t read. It can be read as a stand alone. It would probably be better to read in order.
