This is a Milly Taiden book published under her alter ego Cyn Blade. She handles Protheka with grace and it is nothing like I have read by another author…human denigration, slavery and abuse of woman are not heavy within this story. We know it is happening but it is not the main focus of her plot since Protheka is filled with magical beings and humans are the lowest caste in society. I enjoyed this fantasy love affair written with a well solid characters and creative plot. Enjoy❤️❤️❤️

I found this book to be dark love story of a demon and a human and a magic tome. Their exploits were intriguing as well as full of action, adventure, drama, violence, danger, love and loyalty. More entertaining than you might imagine from a dark story. I read a copy without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

The story says dark but I found it quite sweet as well. There is plenty of danger and action as well as a romance between two who meet all because of a book. For Tessa books and stories are what she loves the most. But her village is under control of orcs who would burn all her dreams down. One book will change it all for her but also one demon.
