great read. I read this whilst on holiday in Galway. This book is over 15 years old now but the commentry is as relevant and fresh now as it was then, especially in the light of recent events in the catholic church in Ireland. A much funnier book than i´d anticipated - especially the chapter about Daniel O´Donnell which had me laughing out loud. It could be argued that he focuses on the more extreme elements of religous life in Ireland, but then again if someone is saying ridiculous things then they shouldn´t be surprised when they are ridiculed.
