EYEWITNESS: The Original
EYEWITNESS is a unique, original book that collected the personal stories of veterans who served in Viet Nam. It sparked a wave of similar books across the nation and became required reading for the cast of "In Country," a movie about the war. It also influenced the making of "Home of the Brave", a play on the same topic. It was the first book of its kind to compile personal stories from veterans of the Viet Nam war and it had a significant impact.

The immigrant’s story was transcribed by the publisher. There are no page numbers. The spelling and punctuations can drive the language purist mad. Although hundreds of copies were sold locally, there are only two original books presently secured at date of this publication.
It was a simple and honest book, but it was more than just a book. It was a way of opening a dialogue that changed lives. Many veterans felt heard and understood for the first time. Other veteran chapters followed the example and published their own books, as documentation proves. EYEWITNESS made a difference that way.
