Dr. Rajkumar: The Person behind The Personality is a personal, passionately penned and authentic biographical tribute to the person who shone as Karnataka's greatest icon, presented by his family through his son, the leading Kannada superstar, Puneeth Rajkumar's heartfelt expressions and explorations are presented here and is co-authored by his friend Prakruthi N. This is the first ever authentic biography of Dr. Rajkumar, presented both in Kannada and English. Another first in the form of an international coffee table book that has been planned on a grand scale by the Rajkumar family to ensure that the many nuances of Rajkumar that has endeared him to the common man; are made known in detail to the millions of Rajkumar's fans, across the globe.

Rajkumar's family history, his birth and early life, his childhood and mindset during adolescence, initiation into theatre, his entry to movies, his acting and singing career, his filmography, personal thoughts and insights and many rare defining moments of his personal life and the Kannada film industry have been presented with innumerable interesting, lesser known incidents that give ample glimpse of his persona have also been brought out to provide a valuable character sketch into the mind of this legendary man, wherein all the above aspects have been given a personal view point by looking more at his immaculate simplicity that won hearts over and the unchanging idealistic outlook that he maintained through his life, for, he is beyond just a Kannada superstar, he is the darling of the masses, one who is always remembered for his simplicity and humility.
