Born in 1974 in Cuba, Michael H. Miranda graduated with a degree in Journalism from the Universidad de Oriente (Cuba) and finished a PhD in Hispanic Studies at Texas A&M University at College Station, Texas. He's also a Spanish instructor at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he currently lives. He has published poetry and short stories in Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico and the USA; and has won poetry contests in Cuba and Mexico.
