The religious conservatives have won, and homosexuality has been legally banned. The fashion, entertainment, and hairdressing businesses have collapsed, and people are mortally afraid to exhibit the slightest signs of queerness or even of creativity. Without LGBTQ to pick on, the religious right extends its persecution to women, the disabled, and people of color. All of this is illustrated with a light touch in cartoons, and the ending is heartwarming.
It's a charming and original concept, poking fun at one stereotype after another, and worth reading. However, the humor is indeed light and the art style is not very deft. Still, I'm interested to see what else Jason Ross has produced.
