Amidst the glow sticks, fire dancers, and drugs trips at an outdoor music festival Amita, a twenty something modern hippie, and her eccentric dread headed best friend Sara meet a pair of handsome musicians named Johnny and Jared. After an impromptu first date Jared finds an illuminating journal belonging to Amita filled with poetry. With a bottle of whiskey and his charismatic nature Jared convinces Amita to try her hand at songwriting. Amita’s soon learns that Jared’s plan also includes a performance at an open mic night that immobilizes her with fear. Now this elementary school choir reject has to face her demons and desires or gamble losing Jared forever. With the help of her friends, Amita learns that the biggest obstacle standing in the way of your dreams is herself and taking a chance on her dream is easier than living in its shadow.
