Here, at last, is a real solution to the prayer problem!
In His Presence by E. W. Kenyon is not about who others were and what they did in prayer, but about who we are and what we can do in prayer. It lifts the curtain to the Holy of Holies and reveals our ability to enter in and stand before the presence of God.
In this book, you will discover that God’s ability is available to every one of His children. You will be challenged to climb the heights and sound the depths of tremendous spiritual realities, including the authority of the name of Jesus and how to use it.
In His Presence has been a challenge and blessing to countless multitudes all over the world. It removes the mist surrounding the prayer life, leading us out of spiritual mysticism into the true light of life.
This is your invitation to open the door...enter...and stand in the Father’s presence!
5 out of 5! What a remarkable, edifying book!! My goodness, I just can't recommend this highly or emphatically enough to convey how truly & powerfully beautiful the content is within. The tagline about developing a prayer life tells of less than an eighth of the substance found in Kenyon's intentions and words. He writes so much and so passionately about our identity, authority, rights, and fellowship in Christ-- his main thrust is our ultimate grasp of what we are in Truth, and how that will transform our prayers, intimacy, and daily walk with the Lord.
In His Presence, The Secret of Prayer by author Dr. E.W. Kenyon is an inspirational Christian book. The words on prayer are timeless. This is a great addition to any Christian library.
The author has a passion for God that shows through this book. He emphasizes the importance of daily prayer and having a strong prayer life. If readers need help establishing that, the author offers suggestions.
There is a wealth of information packed into the pages of this book. It is so edifying that I had to read it a little at a time and mull over what I had just read. The author offers wise counsel to deepen one’s walk and relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Scripture is heavily referenced in various translations throughout this informative and encouraging work.
The style of writing is easy to understand. The book is well planned and designed. I found it easy to follow. There are many good ideas on prayer as well as our authority from being children of God. We miss out on so much because we have not asked.
I highly recommend this book to any Christian wanting to strengthen their prayer life and walk with the Father. It would make a nice small group study. This one will definitely be placed on my shelf to refer back to time and time again. I gave it a 5 out of 5 stars. A copy was provided by Celebrate Lit, but these are my own, honest words.
This book was written in a time that people were generally all Christians or at least pretended to be in the company of others. The author was a pioneer of his time. In this book, you are going to learn not just how you should pray but how to actually pray. How to be within His presence and revel in it.
If you have ever struggled to find your identity in Christ, to know where you belong and what that means for you, this is going to be the book for you.
This is a very well written book. I love that it’s a bit old fashioned as that speaks to. I think this book is going to have a permanent spot on our shelf. This is going to be one of those books that are required reading for my kid’s senior year in high school. It’s not so intellectual that they couldn’t understand it, and it’s definitely a good one for all to read.
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received through Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.
What an amazing book! I shared quotes on Facebook as I was reading "In His Presence," and found myself typing in long passages because I couldn't find a place to stop!
Kenyon stresses relationship in this book, with the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. With liberal use of Scripture in various translations, he clearly states where we stand and what rights, privileges and responsibilities belong to Christians today. Especially the responsibility we have when it comes to Intercessory Prayer and doing the works of Christ.
This is an incredibly uplifting book. Backed by scripture, he clearly states his case for why we should be performing miracles in the name of Jesus today.
Careful study of this book and being a doer, and not a reader only, will provide the opportunity to deepen your relationship with God, speaking with Him daily, and walking in authority as a child of the Most High.
The glow of true fellowship with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
I was greatly surprised by the clarity of this writing. This not a dry, confusing, tome about theology. It is a clearly written book about who we are in Christ, what we have in Christ, what we can do with what we have in Christ. Because of this book and others written by this author (which points us to the Word of God as his source of understanding) I am having a more joyful relation with the God head Father, Son and Spirit. I am no longer confused or afraid to claim all of the blessings my heavenly Father has given me in Christ. Break out a pad and pencil, the Bible And begin this book with great anticipation of a fresh and wonderful understanding of all you have become, what you can accomplish with this knowledge and how deep your fellowship with your heavenly father can be through Jesus Christ.
Sometimes I can struggle while praying. Sometimes my voice does not have the words. However, God knows our hearts. He knows what we are trying to say. This book shows how important it is to have a full relationship with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we as Christians can forget one of the three. This book answers some questions of "Why didn't God answer my prayer?" This is something that some Christians struggle with, This book is backed by scripture. While it was written by someone that was right after the Civil War ended all of the principles he talks about are relevant to today. This book is aimed toward those who have been Christians for a bit - it may be a bit deep for those who are just discovering their relationship with Christ.
I received a copy of this book through the Celebrate Lit Blogging program --- all thoughts are my own.
Prayer often overwhelms individuals, including me. I wonder whether God hears my words, or even why He should listen to me. This book illustrates the power of prayer and how God allows us to enter His presence.
The book spoke to my soul and encouraged me in my desire and path toward prayer. I found the book easy to read and supported by Scripture. I definitely feel new Christians and those who have been on the path for a while need to read this book. So check out this book for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.
This book is a good one if you are wanting to improve your prayer life (and I absolutely needed to). The author explains things well and shows how we can pray. We should have an active prayer life and pray about everything and I know I absolutely don't. I think it was a really good one.
It was a 4/5 for me. I will be looking at it more closely in the future.
Thank you to the auth0r/publisher for the review copy of this book via Celebrate Lit. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
Words don’t more accurately describe all that we have and all that we are in Christ Jesus than the revelations found in this book. EW Kenyon expresses faith practically in such a way to educate and empower every believer to have a supernatural prayer life. This book elaborates on what it means to pray from the legal standpoint of a son and daughter of the Most High God; as well as bring conviction for Believers to actually believe.... Yay God!
My number one book on union with God, Prayer and righteousness.
This book has addressed so many issues on doubt, unanswered prayer, inferiority complexes, oppression from the enemy, fellowship with the Father, our union with Christ, our access to his ability and so much more.
It’s by far one of the greatest books I have ever read.
The book is especially for mature believers. New Christians wouldn’t be able to get much out of it. The book is a treasure and a complete spiritual revelation about prayer. At times it is repetitive, but nevertheless a powerful book which Christians should read in their spiritual journey.
I found this book in a random book visual book sweep at a 2nd-hand store. I thought for $2, why not? The writing style is simplistic and unpolished, but the passion and vision is fervent. Simple words, rich truths. A lot to absorb.
Libro recomendado! Este autor siempre me brinda una revelación fresca de la palabra de Dios. No le doy cinco estrellas ya que tiende ser muy repetitivo en la mayoría del libro de la idea central.
The richness of the subject matter, who we are and what we have inChrist, is terrific. The author's colorful and powerful ideas are life changing . One needs to slowly meditate our way through this topic.
This is probably his best book. If you want to draw close to God, then start with this book. This was my 2nd time to read it and I practice the principals laid out in this book daily.
