Took me a while to read as I was dipping into in between other books.
Lots of deliciously smutty adventures at the seaside. My favourite stories were from a wonderful collection of Brit Babes, )Victoria Blisse, Lucy Felthouse, Lily Harlem, Lexi Bay, Tabitha Rayne, KD Grace) and the brilliant Justine Elyot.
Gives you craving for fish n chips and a Mr Whippy 99!
The British seaside experience is portrayed oh so wonderfully in this anthology. These shorts made me feel as if the authors had bottled the essence of the seaside and delivered it to me in a smutty little package! I could almost taste the strawberry ice cream, and hear the buzz of electric from the dodgems. Although I did have my favorite two stories--I'll never look at dodgems and ice cream in the same way again--all the stories in this anthology had merit. I heartily recommend a read if you fancy some smut down on the pier or a private ice cream tasting ;) One of my favorite summer reads this year.
A fantastically fun seaside romp full of top-notch writing talent.
Its overall feel is one of escapism into a wilder world outside the normal rules and constraints of society. The excellent quality of the writing allows the reader to fully immerse themselves in the settings and stories.
Although a few of the stories are set in more exotic locations, the theme of the British seaside runs through the book. It is one of slightly faded glory, often tacky, tatty or quaint, but full of opportunities for vivid imagery that speaks to all the senses. There are the smells of fish and chips and sun cream, the noise of the fairgrounds and arcades, the taste of ice cream and salty seawater, the feel of sand between the toes or waves in the face. For British readers, there’s sure to be a touch of nostalgia for childhood holidays.
The stories are full of contrasts that constantly surprise and entertain: hot sun and cool breeze, lovers who are both tender and rough, liaisons that are intense but fleeting. The sea itself provides a wealth of sensations and stirs up deep desires in the psyche. The seaside becomes a place between worlds, a special place of freedom and escape. In many of the stories, it is a place where a woman can set out quite deliberately to get laid with no strings attached in a much more picturesque setting than a nightclub toilet.
The BritBabes have done it again! I never pictured the sea to be so erotic. What is it about the sand? I guess I need to move to the coast to find out. There are 14 great story lines in this compilation. Each story left you wanting more and it did not disappoint. WARNING! Beware this book may have you screaming in ecstasy so please try not to read in public! Congratulations to Victoria Blisse and Lucy Felthouse for choosing the stories wisely. If you like short erotic stories than this book is the one for you.I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review
A fun and frisky collection of smutty stories, all set by the seaside. There is very much a British slant in terms of location, but the stories venture further afield, and in time too. My one (tiny) bugbear; a fact-check in one of the stories could have prevent an iPhone from showing up in 1997... but don't let that stop you from reading a collection of stories which range for a little melancholy to sweet to daring.
