Back in January, I was the prompter for this particular dramatization at a local arts centre, as my sister was playing Mary. I had to read through the play several times, both to help my sister with her lines, and then to prompt the actors/actresses during the performances. Although it's a bit dated and corny in spots, the comedic factor was high and it was a huge hit with the audience. There were also several scenes that were actually quite touching, and there was a lot of emotion and tension between the characters. There's also some unexpected twists and turns in the plot... I won't say any more than that!

I found this play to be quite interesting. It features very little backstory on its characters, yet they develop throughout the play in such a way that you start to feel a connection with them and how they change.
This play does not feature action sequences, but instead about conversation, and how just the right people can meet and can cause an impactful change on their lives. Whether for better or worse? That is up to you to decide.

Read this for my students. Pretty good for a play! Funny and has some more serious topics
