This is one that I will have to purchase for my own collection. It's filled with thoughtful, well-presented projects and unfortunately has proven a bit difficult to locate. My local library does not own it, so I got it through inter-library loan.
Definitely worth a read if one is interested in vintage, or vintage-inspired handcrafts for babies and children.
The ten projects ranging from a baby quilt to painted treasure box are just the beginning. This book is filled with inspirations, suggestions and ideas for dozens more hand made items. The author's appreciation of vintage fabrics and toys is the basis for inspired projects that are beautifully photographed. So much more than just a craft book.
The patterns in this one aren't that interesting (except, oddly, the section on making clothes for Barbie, which is riveting), but the gorgeous pictures of shabby-antique-chic children's rooms are worth the price of the book. If only your average kid liked antique-y things as much as I do!
