In this second issue we get a glimpse into Kaliman's strange abilities. He turns himself into an old man and is very adept with animal care.

We do get insight into our secondary characters and to what our main villain is up to.

Now, I'd say that the most relevant thing happening here is Solin. He will later become Kaliman's friend. But, right here and right now we see Kaliman save his life from some Beduins and is interested in the reasons they had for attacking him.
