I expected more at the end. I can't explain without spoiling but it was rather abrupt and ends at 90%. I like this series and the story was fine. Its about brain washing and Stockholm syndrome and I somehow missed, when that happened. It seemed to me she just got the truth right about her Father but I don't know. Carl is a dichotomy and I felt sorry for him believe it or not. Maybe I have it. Lol. Also there is a story coming about the young man who wanted the heroine. I can feel it. And I don't trust Malcolm.
I'm loving this series so far!! Looking forward to the next one! Willow Grace is a fantastic character and so is Agent Holt! I wonder what the future holds for them! Highly recommend this series!
This us a good story, but there isn't much mystery and the story is so short. I like the characters, except for Malcolm, who I assume will become an issue at some point.
There were inconsistencies between this book and the first book that were minor but still noticeable and a little annoying. There is also one inside the book that is similar. At one point, she says she has to teach a class the next afternoon. Later, she says it is in the morning.
Willow Grace, teacher, ex cult member, FBI consultant, and psychologist. Where do her talents end? I hope to see her relationship with FBI agent Holt continue to grow.
This was an intense and heartbreaking story that will hook you from beginning to end. In line with the old cliché, there are good people who can do bad things as well as bad people who can do good things, it really makes it difficult to understand when you can sympathize with those who have done wrong for the right reasons. It's certainly not a story to be missed. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and author.
The story itself is very interesting but you are kept in the dark to long. I read the second book just to find out what happened to her. She repeatedly tells how paranoid she is but no clue why. Just to much of the same information repeated.
A rich man’s daughter kidnapped by men that want him to pay for his crimes and the daughter is subjected to torture mentally until she surrenders to hating her father. The team of a police detective, an fbi agent and Willow put together what happened. Enjoy
This second book continues to keep my interest as the characters are developing and the cases are intriguing. I look forward to read the next book in the series.
