I love this book because it is simple to understand and gives a brief description of all the confusing characters in the film.

I've just read this to my son, but I think I liked it more. I don't know if I loved the creatures or the heroes more. The creatures just rule, especially the Balrog. I don't think he is as philosophically intriguing as the creatures who have fallen like the kings/Wraiths, but his look is cooler than any actor in Hollywood. Long live the Balrog!
This book is flooded with quality pictures and a paragraph or two describing them. It was written for children and is a great introduction to the books and movies.
