Very much a skimmer. Faid offers conjecture for some mysteries like details from Exodus and other Old Testament stories. However, much of this book is rehashing Bible stories or presenting history that known, not particularly mysterious—-describing apocryphal books, explaining pagan origins of Christmas and Easter customs, defining Biblical units of measure, and so on.

An excellent resource. Incredibly well researched and factually explained in a way that readers can understand. Logical explanations and conclusions are discussed in a well balanced overview. very helpful!!
