this volume was a masterpiece. the ajinoki island arc was just chefs kiss. I’m sorry but I absolutely love the relationship and dynamic between Zhenya and Taekjoo. they are the definition of enemies to lovers. I know people despise Zhenya for the way he treated Taekjoo in this arc but they need to realise that these two are complete strangers and Taekjoo is trying to steal Zhenya’s valuable possession that makes him the most dangerous person in the world. when Taekjoo figured out Zhenya’s riddle, he ended up destroying the blueprint of “Anastasia”. of course he won’t be lovey dovey with him, thats his enemy. Zhenya was raised as a weapon, the only thing he knows is destruction.

I really loved how in this arc, Zhenya never addressed Taekjoo by his name until the end. He doesn’t view people as humans and this even includes his own sister, Olga. He always called Taekjoo by a nickname here such as “zaika” (rabbit) because he views him rather as an object he wants to dominate, manipulate and control. But as the story goes on, we see parts of him we haven’t. He starts to laugh freely and even starts to take care of Taekjoo. In the end when he escapes from the island, Zhenya screams his name for the first time there, portraying the desperation, devotion, realization and the yearning. Olga herself has never seen the look of desperation on Zhenya and notices the feeling he has for Taekjoo.

Excited for the next volume to see Zhenya chase Taekjoo in korea as well as Taekjoo having to stay hidden due to him being wanted as he’s labelled as a traitor. His being done dirty by his own people that I need him to get his revenge.

I am a WEAK, weak woman. I had my doubts about Zhenya and I even kind of disliked him because of his brutality and his treatment of our poor Taekjoo but the moment he shows some remorse and care for Taekjoo, I just MELT. Ugh.

As I thought, there were some hard to read scenes throughout and the relationship was pretty one sided throughout this volume but I loved seeing Zhenya so confused by his feeling for Taekjoo and as liiiittle bit of a human side creep in. He can be much more tender than he has let on thus far. My heart kind of broke for him at the end when Taekjoo finally got away and when Olga mentioned what Koshichei's (Zhenya's) true weakness was.

And Olga! I really like the girl, she's cute. I think it's probably going to be the last time we see her, maybe save for a bit of a cameo in the side stories but it was really nice seeing Zhenya's and Taekjoo's dynamic shaken up by her arrival.

I'm interested to see how Zhenya comes back into the picture and how Taekjoo escapes being framed. And I hope we get some true romance in the next volume with Taekjoo actually choosing Zhenya of his own free will!

A prova de que o verdadeiro animal da história é o Zhenya e não o Taekju !!!! Finalmente o Zhenya está percebendo o que sente pelo Taekju e que ele se preocupa com o Taekju, mesmo assim nessa questão psicoemocional do Zhenya a história deixa MUITO a desejar... O Taekju quase desenvolveu uma sindrome de estocolmo e só escapou por pouco graças a ajuda da Olga... Se ele não tivesse escapado ele com certeza ia acabar totalmente alienado pelo Zhenya.
De qualquer forma eu não sei se o último volume vai ser o suficiente para ter qualquer desenvolvimento romântico entre o Zhenya e o Taekju, já que o próprio Taekju ainda considera inadmissível ter qualquer sentimento pelo Zhenya reconhecendo que ele é seu estuprador e inimigo. Mas ele também sente empatia pelo Zhenya principalmente no final desse volume... Enfim só terminando a leitura mesmo para ter certeza.

His crime list is long, and he tortured TJ a lot, but I still don’t like him being alone. Reminded me of “I’m not a violent dog, I don’t know why I bite”(but Zhenya definitely bites for fun, so not entirely him).
“Meat column”, “cylindrical monster”, and “fishy”. Interesting choice of words.
The sex/ncn scenes are confusing, pain like that doesn’t leave room for sm pleasure. Just use lube mg

Fue una pelea constante para entender la novela de lo malisima que era la traducción por dios pero igual buenísimo.
Increíble como en este libro se refuerza lo enfermo que está el ruso igual el final dios esa frase que le tira Olga a Taekjoo cine 🚬🚬🚬

Waouh hmmm volume 3 was definitely something else. First I would like to say that I hate and like a little bit zhenya. I will never forget him for raping taekjo multiple time and almost killing him too. But still some scene where described so beautifully. The part were they watched the sky or when zehya was playing a counterbass solo, like these scene were goooood. When taekjo finally escaped, like zhenya screaming broke me. You just know he was in love like. Well if you didn’t want to lose him, maybe you shouldn’t have raped him and almost killed him too but still. I would like to say that Olga is the realest one out here. Like my girl is so real to make help taekjo escape. Love her. The part where Olga said that the weakness of the immortal men was his heart, more specifically love, I was like omg. At first when zhenya told us about the story is volume 2 I was like okay and what else. But now with Olga everything’s makes Sens. This books leaves us with wanting to know way more like why do they want to kill Taekjoo. Like my man had to live hell on earth and when he’s free, they consider him a criminal. Who tf did that tell me their name and ima beat their ass. Can’t wait to read volume 4 and see what happens, cause I need a happy ending.

Omg I forgot about all their bet like the fishing, hunting and skiing were so cute. And especially the fact that Zhenya still has the wish, can’t wait to know what he’s going to wish for. (It’s sad that taekjoo got raped AGAIN just after one of the bet like 😔😔)
