I feel empty after finishing this series... I need moreeeee. Not to romanticize Zhenya's toxicness, I liked the progress of their relationship in this volume, it was more slow paced in the emotional aspects, which I was craving in the previous volume.
Talking about characters, Taekjoo has gotta be one of my new faves. I like my main characters prideful and hard to break and Taekjoo delivered on just THAT. I really wanna see more of Taekjoo and Zhenya and their families interacting with each others' but this was an optimistic end to the series and I don't have any complains. Ps. I already miss my Zaika and Saekki.
Romantizar historias funables con un spin-off slice of life del co-protagonista redimido de sus actos a través de muestras de afecto y sus traumas del pasado >>>> Give me more.
“If Anastasia disappears, I’m finished. This is my air, my weakness, and my secret weapon that makes me the strongest in the world. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀.”
Zhenya calling Taekjoo “Anastasia” is the most romantic piece of literature.
"That person is the one who defeated the stubborn Kwon Taek Joo." Zhenya was just as needy as Yuna Hyun, maybe even more so. Maybe that's why he always tries to cling to Kwon Taek Joo and follow him wherever he goes, no matter how far or how dangerous. If it wasn't Zhenya, no one would have been able to do it. No one will understand a lover who has many secrets, often goes on business trips and rarely gets to rest. Zhenya even left everything behind and went to Korea. The boy has no past, interests or acquaintances here. He can ignore the rest of his life, purely to be with Kwon Taek Joo. It would be much easier if Zhenya lured and captured him. But he didn't, just because Zhenya didn't want to be hated by Kwon Taek Joo himself. He felt sorry for his patience and desires that were not human at the beginning. ********* Kwon Taek Joo reached out and grabbed Zhenya's sleeve. Although he wasn't sure because he didn't look at his face, it seemed like the guy was showing a rare expression of surprise. [If I'm with you, my patience will continue to be tested. Even so, you.. please don't be tired and continue to wait for me. I don't want to be abandoned by you. How selfish.]
The side story was absolutely beautiful. Honestly Zhenya is still weird, but seeing them in love is something else. Olga the realest one is back. I hope when the manwha catch up, we’ll have a little bit more of queen Olga. The relation between Zhenya and taekjoos mother is everything. I love both of them so much omg. And taekjoo my man for real. Like Zhenya is sooo lucky to have him. The ending was beautiful omg like Zhenya saying I will always go after you Jxkwjfjwjkwkdkjs screaming crying throwing up. Like yes I want what they have( I actually really don’t want it).
I hope in the manwha we can see Zhenya and taekjoo go to the wedding together, maybe even hey married. I’m happy that I finished this and honestly it was worth it.

well, I don't feel like to finish this, maybe I continue when I want to spoil myself of the actual story. Just waiting impatiently season 2 of the manhwa.
I feel I need to put another disclaimer, like I did in my review for the first novel, that this review is just my personal notes for the book because the goodreads "private notes" section is so itty bitty. I am actually just screeching below so please disregard.
I'm a sell-out! I'm a convert! AHH I don't even know, nor do I care, all I know is that I loved this so so so much!!!
I was expecting something completely different coming into it since I thought this would be a collection of short side stories about the couple (I guess because my only other experience with korean novel side stories was that one about the girl and her brothers) but it actually had an overarching storyline while weaving in past experiences through flashbacks. I think that worked so well here because although we did have a conclusion to the series through volume 4, it left us as readers with questions about how Zhenya and Taekjoo would have a functioning relationship in the long term. So this side story volume centering around them settling into life together and Taekjoo admitting that he's not just tolerating Zhenya, but actually wants to continue being with him, was just perfect.
Of course there were still some barriers, like Zhenya still not learning Korean or liking the food or their conflict that we saw in one of the chapters but overall, I think this painted such a nice picture of their domesticity!
Zhenya is such an absolute affectionate puppy towards Taekjoo! He always wants to be around him and whenever they are together, he is always touching him, kissing him tenderly, rubbing his face on Taekjoo or nuzzling him - I MELTED reading all of those scenes because we didn't get that Zhenya in the previous 4 volumes. Clearly when he lost Taekjoo in volume 3, and finally got him back in 4, he realized he couldn't live without him and he is so unabashedly cuddly now that he know that! He even said that he's never been happier!!! AHHHH
And it was so sweet seeing that he does care about Taekjoo's mother and even visits when Taekjoo isn't around. Plus seeing Olga again and her care about her brother was cute. And most of all (after Zhenya), Taekjoo finally accepting his feelings and being affectionate in his own way back to Zhenya while showing pretty much everyone around him that he is so deeply in love was a treat!
I am so sad this is over now, after devouring the whole series of novels in the past week. I actually had that sad empty feeling when I finished the last chapter so it'll be hard to let this one go TT What a good read! <3
