Good teachers are so much more than instructors in the three Rs--they're coaches, therapists, career counselors, and surrogate parents all rolled into one. In this moving collection of more than fifty true stories, teachers and students alike reveal the life-changing moments taking place in classrooms all over the world, transforming--and sometimes saving--young lives. Good teachers can make all the difference--and Teacher Miracles celebrates this special and often dramatic role teachers play in all our lives.
Brian Thornton is the author of twelve books and a whole bunch of short stories. He does all of his own stunts, loves the color blue as well as singing in the car with his wife and son, and lives with his family in Seattle, where he recently completed his third term as Northwest Chapter president for the Mystery Writers of America.
This is a really cute, heartwarming collection of inspirational stories about students and teachers. Most of the stories were touching (and a few could have been omitted) but a few actually brought me to tears.
It's a good book for teachers to read on a rainy day or when they're feeling kind of down. :)
This was a good book, full of cute stories. I would have rated it higher but there were a few editing errors and some of the stories felt too exaggerated to be real. Overall, it's a fast read and worth checking out for anyone who wants to become a teacher or feel inspired.
