Richard Surman is a British writer and photographer, working from the UK and Spain. He specializes in all types of location photography and works with a wide range of multinational corporate, editorial, advertising and design clients. He has published a number of books and also collaborated on a wide range of travel, gardening and specialist guide books, as well as contributing to magazines in the UK, USA and Spain.
Richard Surman has a series of "Cats" books, stories of cats living in various domiciles in Britain and Ireland. They are all absolutely charming, written with humor and interesting information-complete with photos. In this book cats are found residing in Berkeley Castle, Windsor Castle and the Tower of London to name only three. You have profiles of the cats' personalities, habits, preferences as well as a brief history of the residence. Mr Surman also has Church Cats and Cathedral Cats to name just two more. These are all such fun reads-even if you're a dog person.
