Cyanide & Spirits: An Inside-Out View of Early Photography

Rate this book
Cyanide & Spirits is a fascinating humourously written view of early photography. You'll learn about spirit photography and prison portraits, back-street operators and the pros and cons of smoking in the darkroom. This book is a must for anyone who still believes that our photographic forefathers were nothing more than dour and solemn moralists, and will be appreciated by those who already know that what early photographers were really interested in is a lot different than what most contemporary historians would have us believe.

Creo que es lo mejor y mas divertido que he leído sobre la prehistoria e inicios de la fotografía. Un conjunto de artículos con títulos como los siguientes: "By the Light of a Putrid Haddock", "Move a Muscle and I'll Blow Your Brains Out", "Dangers in the Dark" o "Smoking in the Darkroom"
Solo por los títulos ya entran ganas de leerlos. Y su lectura no decepciona en absoluto.
