Two’s company. Three’s a…temptation. A hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon isn’t supposed to be an erotic adventure. Dr. 'Gabe' Gabriel is more than a little turned on by the young couple he meets on the trail but he doesn’t do threesomes anymore. Someone always gets hurt. Not everything is what is seems and despite a close encounter of the intimate kind, Uriah and Diane are here for a reason. Leaving any possibility of romance behind, they head to the inner canyon and the isolation they need.Reunited by chance, the threesome’s mutual attraction is hotter than the scorching Arizona desert in the middle of August. Still, secrets have a way of chilling the strongest passion, especially a secret holding a gun, and a heart cold enough to pull the trigger.
We have met Dr Richard Gabriel in some of the other stories and here we are seeing him up close and personal. His summer hiatus was at Grand Canyon National Park living in a single wide trailer for the last eight weeks. A short call from Max and Marcus who were in Phoenix checking on their resident doctor as he told them he would be hiking for a week or so alone to commune with nature.....Before he could pick up his pack, the voices of Diane and Uriah Wadsworth caught his attention. Talk about a match made in hell he thought...Upon second look the man seemed a little young for the beautiful lady and was an Adonis, Gabe thought....This is again another beautiful story of this man finding what his life has been missing as he planned a trip down the Grande Canyon in the killing heat of August. Story is mixed with mystery, and very hott sexy threesome.....shorter about 120 pages

Dr. Gabe decides that he needs to take a break so he can get sober his problems with alcohol is ruining his career and his life, so he goes to the Grand Canyon where he meets a young couple who he thinks is married. Diane and Uriah Wadsworth also have a secret they are in the canyon to spread Diane's husband ashes and to find a treasure. To me the beginning of this books was slow and the story was not excited as the other one's in this series and a bit confusing. Where secrets are spilled everyone seems to think that they have hurt someone else. Diane whose husband Pete was gay and they were only married to keep his father off his back she thinks that she is the blame for his suicide. Uriah think that he is to blame because he wanted his brother to stand up to his father, and Gabe blames himself for someone dying because he worked on them drunk. I personally know first hand that addiction is hard to overcome. I would have liked to get a better history on all of them to learn why each of them did what they did especially Diane why was she doing drugs at 16. Overall this book was ok.
This story missed the mark. I liked Gabe but the story just did not come together to form a compelling plot. I did not feel the force of the attraction between the three MCs. The author told of their heat but I did not feel it. The mystery was forced with no clear foundation. This story lacked heart and emotion.
I think so far this one is my least favorite - it was just way slower than the other books. Plus the whole crazy Joe didn't really fit. Never got any back story on Diane other than she is a drug addict. I don't know the entire book was kind of disjointed.
