A great series, that focuses on exceptional women of science. This is not feminist literature but rather excellent biographical literature to inspire young adults on careers they might otherwise never have considered.
It's hard for me to objectively rate nonfiction, because it's extremely rare that I enjoy it as much as nonfiction. That being said, this book was easy to read while still effectively summarizing the life and achievements of Shirley Ann Jackson. At times, it tried a bit too hard to compare Shirley's accomplishments in physics to her personality and persona life, but overall it was well-written.
This book is great. It's very inspiring and touching how a woman like Shirley can have a very strong fighting spirit in herself. She is also very educated and inteligent. In my opinion, I think she should be one of people's role model, especially women.
