This is the second in a series of Dare Crossovers - standalone books featuring minor characters from Carly Phillips’ Dare family. You don’t need to have read any other book to read and enjoy this one despite some characters from other books popping up - this is all about Georgia and Drew.
I love Carly Phillips but when she teams up with Erika Wilde, it gives me all the Mills & Boon / Harlequin Blaze feels and it makes me giddy! Blaze was all about sizzling stories with strong heroines and irresistible heroes playing the game of modern love and lust - and this is exactly what we get with this story.
Drew and Georgia have an instant connection at a prestigious event but after one delicious dance, Drew leaves Georgia high and dry. Despite that, the connection between our couple is instant and I loved their banter, their conversation and how sweet they were as a couple. And when it gets to it, the sex is wonderfully hot - it’s divine. As their relationship progresses, I also loved how our pair just couldn’t stay away from each other. It was sweet and cemented their friendship as well as their love.
Georgia is from a high society background but she’s a very normal, down-to-earth sort of girl and I was happy to root for her. She is always the good girl so it was definitely fun to watch her come out of her shell with Drew and show her more naughty side. He brought out the best in her without changing her - but by the end of the book you’ll definitely be cheering her on as she stands up for herself and goes after what she wants.
Equally, Drew is the perfect kind of hero. He’s sexy, good-looking, sweet and driven. He knows what he wants and goes out and gets it. He’s an honest guy and it was nice that he was trying desperately not to lead Georgia on - but when he gets told some home truths, it was equally refreshing for him to realise that yes - he was totally wrong!
Nobody in this book changed to get their happily ever after. Nobody compromised on their dreams or goals (not that I’m saying compromise is wrong, of course!) to get the girl / guy. It was lovely to see two people obviously perfect for each other - and with chemistry up the wazoo - to make it work together. And the little epilogue was the cherry on the top - it was so cute!
This was a quick read - both because it’s only 184 pages and because I just stormed through it. It’s sweet, sexy, satisfying and brings out the best of both our authors. I loved it. 5 stars. But I admit I’m still not sure what the ‘secret’ actually was…
Drew Daniels and Georgia Brooks have spectacular chemistry from moment one, and it only gets better as the book goes on. They have some missteps, but I love how Georgia finds her voice and uses it.
Out of the gate, Georgia's sister, Courtney, felt like someone I'd be friends with. I was cracking up at her antics. I love what a great friend and sister she is. Her support and pushing Georgia to be true to herself is awesome.
I borrowed the audio book. The narrators are John Lane and Angelina Rocca. I really like both. Angelina was a perfect choice for Georgia. While I envisioned a bit of a deeper tone for Drew, I am not complaining. 🎧🧡🎧

Just a Little Secret (Dare Crossover #2) by Carly Phillips 4 stars M/F Romance I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
Georgia is the good daughter. She does what she's told and hates to rock the boat. Her sister, on the other hand, is the epitome of what Georgia wishes she could be. Georgia's slight rebellion is the job that she loves. Knowing that her parents are already marrying her off to one of her dad's partners is not something Georgia is going to tolerate, but not knowing how to tell her parents is another story.
Drew is a confident, successful attorney who is liking his life. While he knows that he doesn't want to be alone forever, Drew is content for right now. When he is roped into a charity bachelor auction, Drew doesn't know that his life will change forever.
Georgia and Drew go on a journey of self discovery, lust, romance and love. These two set the sheets on fire and learn from each other on how they want their lives to go. I love Georgia's strength and really love how she embraces these new changes.
You won't be disappointed in this crossover and even if you haven't read the previous books, you'll get a kick out of this one.
I really enjoyed this book. It's the second book by this duo. And it was a great quick read one thing I love, a good girl getting rebellious and finally learning to say no and making herself happy for once. And I believe Drew brings that out in Georgia. And I couldn't have been happier.
The ins and outs of this story aren't for me to divulge, and I won't. As I've said, it's a great story, and I look forward to the next book by these authors. And I totally recommend this book.
I love these visits back into the Dare World. The surprise attraction between the dutiful daughter and the workaholic attorney does not get past the meddling sister! But wait, do her parents have another in mind for Georgia? Will Georgia please her parents or stand up for who she wants?
Be prepared for great banter and a great story. I am looking forward to what comes next from this writing duo.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

I have to say that I thought that after Just a Little Hookup I didn't expect that this authors would give me another couple so beautiful and with such a sexy, fun and tender dynamic! Georgia & Drew have such a beautiful story, with some complications and moments that made my heart a bit warm, but made me enjoy thoroughly reading and returning to this series that only gets better with each book.
Georgia is the older of two sisters, the good, obedient and innocent girl who always does what her family expects of her and tries at all costs to avoid confrontations, BUT when she decides to defend her ideals, desires and dreams she is the best! Georgia has a heart of gold, a sweet personality with a flirtatious side that I loved discovering and her character gave me everything I expected from her when I started the book, without a doubt one of my favorite girls in this amazing universe.
Drew is a workaholic, a successful man who is always looking to do his best as a corporate lawyer, and when he crosses paths with Georgia, he realizes that he doesn't have a life outside of the professional side. He is quite a flirty, seductive man who knows how to bring out Georgia's most daring side, but he also knows how to give her support and make her feel brave when she needs it, and although I didn't really like the way he dealt with his past traumas, I fell in love with his character immediately and there was no going back!
This couple is one of my favorites in this universe! I really enjoy reading Georgia & Drew interacting for the first time, the way their chemistry was evident from that moment on, and their unexpected reunion thanks to Courtney, Georgia's sister and one of the best supporting characters I've ever read! Also, I'm a big fan of all the moments the bachelor auction is giving me so far! In the case of Georgia & Drew, a weekend together that turns into something more for both characters very quickly, leads them to get to know each other much better and experience the most tender, sensual and fun moments!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆ I love the match-up between these two series, and even if this were new to you, it would be an enjoyable read – but if you are up to date with all things Kingston - Dirty Dare, then you will definitely love catching up with old friends. This installment has just the right level of naughtiness and heat surrounding a fun and fast romance.
Georgia has been tormented by her mother to do exactly as she wishes for years, including the latest plan to marry her off to the new junior partner in her father's law firm. At a charity bachelor auction, her sister gives her a date weekend with Drew Daniels – a man who had definitely attracted her attention!
This gift leads to some steamy rebelling from her usual life, and an awakening raunchiness that Drew makes her confident to enjoy. They certainly embrace the chemistry which swirls between them – delicious. Not all is smooth sailing, but as every romance fan knows, love rules!
This is escapism at its best.

Happy birthday to Georgia Brooks! Her present? The hot, rich lawyer her sister bid on and won for Georgia at a charity bachelor auction. And it just so happens to be the same handsome guy she shared a dance with at her parents' gala. And the same guy who ruffled the feathers of her father's junior associate who thinks he has a chance with Georgia. In Mr. Banty Rooster’s defense, Georgia's mother keeps throwing them together and won’t get the memo that Georgia isn’t interested.
Drew Daniels takes Georgia for a weekend in the mountains for their auction date. Aside from a chance to relax away from the city, it turns into a naughty, steamy, unforgettable weekend. They leave the weekend behind and make no promises, but there's just one problem. Drew can’t stop thinking about Georgia. He's in no position for a relationship, either mentally or career-wise, but he can’t stay away.
I love everything about this fictional world, and it was so fun reading Drew and Georgia's story. They certainly have a lot of roadblocks on their road to forever (her mom is a doozy!). One of the things I love about the writing from these two ladies, is the authenticity and realness of the characters. They may be complete opposites of my world view, but they're so relatable and endearing. This one has tons of heart, a little angst, a little humor, and a bunch of steam, making it the perfect romance for your next sure-to-please reading escape.
This is an okay read. The writing was surprisingly stilted for these experienced authors, I didn't get a sense of any real personality on the part of the main characters, and there were a couple of timeline discrepancies. My main issue was Georgia taking Drew back so easily after what he termed "his first mistake in their relationship". Umm, seemed more like third strike and you're out to me.
Spoiler alert:
First, when he blew hot and then suddenly cold at their first meeting; second, when he did the same after their weekend away; and third, breaking up with her because he was "trying to do the right thing", supposedly for her sake, which I didn't buy at all. It should have taken more than one tepid apology for her to take him back.
What a cute read! Georgia has always followed the rules from her parents and their expectations of her, only defying them through her choice of profession rather than follow in the family’s footsteps, until she meets a guy that changes everything for her and happens to be the business’ rival. Drew meets Georgia and sparks instantly fly, and although he knows who she is, he can’t seem to care about any repercussions. Thankfully, Georgia’s sister intervenes and when Drew is part of a bachelor auction, she buys him for her sister, and they have a weekend that changes the course of their lives. While neither of them wants a relationship, they can’t seem to stay away from each other, and then things get even more complicated when Georgia’s mother continues to push her father’s employee at her and even more so when she finds out Drew is in the picture. I love that she stood up for herself regarding her parents, and I love that in the end her father acknowledged things and made a difference, and these two get the HEA they deserve. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Georgia and Drew shouldn’t work together… she’s the dutiful daughter and does what’s expected of her and Drew is a workaholic but when their paths cross at a Bachelor Auction they had instant chemistry that neither of them was expecting. The thing is though that after one dance neither of them thought they’d see each other again.. except Georgia’s sister has a little secret… she won Drew for Georgia for a weekend date!
I loved this story so much. The fact that we get to visit a world created by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde again had me smiling wide. Drew and Georgia are so good for each other. Their story is filled with witty banter, steamy between the sheets action and a love that will give them the ultimate HEA… but will there be any problems with Georgia’s family? They have plans for her… will Georgia stand up for what she wants, which includes Drew? You’ll need to read this newest book by two of my favorite authors to get all the answers!
Just a Little Secret by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde is book Two in the Dare Crossover Series. This is the story of Georgia Brooks and Drew Daniels. Drew has been burned by a past relationship so he doesn't have the mind set to be in a relationship. Along with that his job will be taking him away for a while. But when he meets Georgia and a function he has an immediate connection to her. Georgia has always tried to please her parents but now they are pushing her to date a man who they think is a good connection. But when she dances with Drew she too feels something. Then Georgia's sister wins Drew in a charity auction as a birthday gift and to rebel a little. So they go away for the weekend but can there be more? Enjoyed this book.
Drew is the supporter Georgia needed. Although Courtney tried to give her that push to stand up for herself, Drew gave her the confidence. This was a wonderful love story and an example of having your dream and your love. Nina can kick all the rocks along with Elliott.
We all have our dark sides, that little bit of naughty that is fighting to be let out and I loved to see Carly and Erika unleash it in Georgia and Drew’s story. Just a Little Secret truly was a story between two people that never knew just how much they needed one another for the balance they could bring to the other. Drew has been a driven, ambitious workaholic for too long, only letting out his fun side to seduce and charm, but never letting himself love. Georgia has been working to find her happiness in her career, knowing that her personal life will have to be on the backburner until she can get her parents to let her pick her own dates for once. When their worlds collide, they come to understand that the balance of ambition and playtime is best found with a partner and one that can carry and protect your heart. I loved seeing these two come together and overcome their dissolutions with love and dedicating themselves to a relationship that they finally deserved. The chemistry and heat between them was there from the moment their eyes met and only got hotter as they got to know one another. I am so looking forward to the next story (Just a Little Promise) where we will finally learn what’s been going on with Tripp and Skye. I’m not usually a fan of these types of overlapping timelines in a series, but I have to say I’m liking these little glimpses of the next story in each book and seeing the reminders of the previous story as I rea the next one. Carly and Erika truly are a dynamic duo as they put their sexy characters through their paces and reminds us all that sometimes love can come from the most unlikely of circumstances.
Drew and Georgia’s story was fun, exciting, sexy and steamy. Georgia has always been the good girl, falling in line and lock step with the family and it’s starting to grate on her and when she meets Drew he unlocks something in her she doesn’t want to put away.
There’s always a hiccup yep Elliott the smarmy guy her mother wants her to date. It’s time for Georgia to be her own woman and take control of her life and Drew shows her how easy it is to let go and be who she really is. So a birthday gift from her sister and borrowed time starts out how Drew planned it but what he didn’t expect was to fall hard for Georgia.
Can Drew have it all the career and the woman of his dreams or will he let the past ruin his future? I freaking loved this book and can’t wait for Tripps story. I found this book on BookSprout.
Decades of hangups instantly overcome thanks to magical d*ck!
FMC does a lot of thoughtful things for MMC and is willing to compromise while MMC does nothing and literally says he wants to have it all (and does). Again, I'm assuming this is thanks to the magical d*ck. Everyone else is a caricature to exist in what pretends to be a plot.
+1 star because the quality of the actual writing flows well and the narrators of the audiobook were solid. Also, it's surprisingly less toxic than a lot of similar erotica.
I loved this story!!! Georgia was amazing and I loved how she came into her own strength throughout the book. Drew was great and his somewhat reluctance was really well written. I couldn't put it down once I started it. Fantastic from start to finish!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Meh. This is my least fave Dare/Kingston-crossover. It felt like this story was just phoned in. Maybe because I really didn’t like Georgia at first. Then she all the sudden got a backbone. The development just wasn’t there. I also didn’t care for either narrator.
*An advance reader copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*
Georgia Brooks has always been a people pleaser, especially with her parents. Her only act of rebellion was to not follow in her father’s footsteps by going to law school, choosing to work in non-profit for the Fast Track Charity, founded by Aurora Kingston Dare. Now they are pushing her to date Elliott, her father’s promising (her mother’s words) junior partner, who Georgia has absolutely no interest in.
At an event where her father is being honored, Georgia meets a gorgeous attorney at the dessert table. His name is Drew Daniels, and she recognizes him as one of the bachelors up for auction that her work is organizing. Drew asks her to dance. There is an immediate connection between the two of them. When the song ends, Elliott rushes onto the dance floor to escort her away from the other attorney, and you can sense there’s a rivalry between the men.
By the time the bachelor auction rolls around, Georgia has no plans on bidding for herself, especially not on Drew. But her sister, Courtney, has other ideas and plunks down a good chunk of change for Drew and Georgia to spend the weekend together. Courtney just wants Georgia to live a little and do something (or someone) for herself.
Drew is happy he gets to spend the weekend with Georgia, even if he knows that’s all it can really be. His last girlfriend thought he spent way too much time at the office and cheated on him, which was before he made a partner. Now he has been offered an amazing opportunity by his boss to head up a merger that is going to keep him traveling back and forth to Europe over the next 6 months, so he feels that it’s not a good time to start a relationship with anyone, especially Georgia.
Drew whisks Georgia away to his family’s cottage in the Catskills Mountains, where they spend the next couple of days exploring the area and each other. They definitely bring on the heat when they are together. Drew knows how to draw Georgia out of her comfort zone and try new things. The weekend passes way too quickly. But there’s no talk of extending their relationship now that their weekend is over.
Now back home, Drew has given Georgia the courage not only let Elliot know she has no interest in him, but to stand up to her mother and start living life the way she should be living it. With the help of his brother, Drew realizes that he wants to keep seeing Georgia for the time being. They fall into an easy routine of being together when the time allows. But when Drew takes his boss up on the new project, he tells Georgia that they can’t be together anymore. Why didn’t he speak to Georgia first before making this decision for them? Will Georgia take her new found confidence that he gave her and stand up for what she wants before it’s too late?
I love when we, as readers, get to explore side characters from a book series written by a favorite author. Georgia works for Aurora Kingston Dare, who we first met in Just One Night and then got her own story in Just One Dare. Drew Daniels’ brother is Beck Daniels, who is married to Chloe Kingston and their story is Just One Scandal. Now I can’t wait to see whose story we’re going to get in the next crossover book by the amazing Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde.
Georgia's fun-loving younger sister has decided Georgia needs to have a little fun, so has gotten her a...delicious birthday present, in the form of a gorgeous lawyer named Drew, with whom she formed an instant connection earlier at a formal gathering her parents insisted she attend. But what if neither can get the other off their minds after their tryst? Can they continue or do they have an expiration date because of Drew's hectic work schedule?
Anytime I'm back in the Dare world, be it the originals or any of the spinoffs, I'm a happy woman. Georgia and Drew sizzle together - the good girl who learns to stand up for herself to her overbearing mother, and the workaholic lawyer who has to make a choice between his career and his love. I love these two together and can't wait for the next crossover couple to fall in love now.

Phillips and Wilde have done it again! As the second book in the Dare Crossover Series, Just A Little Secret is a relatable steamy romance about second chances that will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.
At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Georgia Brooks, who is putting her degree in nonprofit management to use by working for Future Fast Track. A non-profit dedicated to helping foster kids transition out of the system once they are of age. Not only is she working for a great cause, but Georgia is truly following her passion to help others her way. To the disappointment of her parents who wanted her to follow on the family business path, she finally put her foot down when it came to her career.
Georgia has always been the one to follow the rules, be more cautious and conservative. That is until she meets Drew Daniels at an awards banquet her family is attending. He is bold, daring and she likes that. There is something about him that keeps her drawn to him. Then everything changes when they are at a bachelor auction for the non-profit and her sister ends up bidding for Drew, winning him for her in the process. A weekend with him shouldn’t have been a big deal, until she lets her walls down and sees a potential future with him.
As a successful lawyer, Drew Daniels is competitive by nature, a trait that has helped him a lot in his career. At McKenzie Goodwin, he handles a lot of high-profile mergers and acquisition clients. His job requires him to work long hours and the last thing he wants is to be in a relationship. Drew refuses to go through what he went through with his ex, so he is focusing on improving his career instead. Until he sees the beautiful woman talking to his rival. He is intrigued by her and after getting to know her more, there is a connection that neither of them can deny. No matter how much he wants to pursue her, Drew can’t stop thinking about his previous relationship and what his demanding career could do to their relationship if he gave them a chance.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Just A Little Secret! Phillips and Wilde did a great job with the overall story and the characters. There is an instant chemistry between them and we get to see them open up to each other as well. Georgia truly compliments Drew, she understands him and his career. Even though she wants to make her parents proud, Georgia hesitates to talk to them at first. Then we get to see her shine at the end. They have found each other and now they have to fight for their future. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book and the previous book in the series, it will not disappoint! :)
***I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.***
JUST A LITTLE SECRET is the second instalment in the contemporary, adult DARE CROSSOVER erotic, romance series co-authored by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. This is thirty-four year old, attorney Drew Daniels, and twenty-seven year old, charity organizer/fundraiser Georgia Brooks’ story line. JUST A LITTLE SECRET can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line or series is revealed where necessary. The DARE cross over series is interconnected with the authors’ KINGSTON Family, DARE and DIRTY DARE series.
Told from omniscient third person perspectives (Drew and Georgia) JUST A LITTLE SECRET follows the building romance and relationship between attorney Drew Daniels, and Georgia Brooks. Having met at an awards dinner, Georgia Brooks is surprised to encounter attorney Drew Daniels at her bachelor auction fund raiser, a fund raiser wherein her sister will ‘win’ Drew for our story line heroine. A weekend together continues once they get home but Georgia’s mother has focused her sights on someone else for her daughter, and Drew suspects his time with Georgia will eventually come to an end. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Georgia and Drew, and the potential fall-out as Drew must make a decision about his life going forward.
The world building focuses on the ‘secret affair’ between our story line couple, and Georgia’s mother Nina’s determination to marry her daughter to someone of her choosing. Georgia did not follow in her families law business, and as such, her mother considers her daughter less than worthy. To keep face, a suitable mate will be chosen for Georgia, a man with whom Georgia wants nothing to do.
The relationship between Georgia and Drew begins as a short encounter followed by a weekend together in which Drew and Georgia begin to fall in love. Drew tries to keep his distance but upon their return, Drew only thinks about Georgia, and is hoping for something more. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
We are introduced to Georgia’s parents Nina and Roland Brooks; her larger than life sister Courtney, and their mother’s choice for Georgia’s husband Elliott Eastman, as well as Drew’s brothers Beck and Tripp.
JUST A LITTLE SECRET is a story of family and friendships, relationships and love, acceptance and forgiveness. The fast paced, character driven premise is edgy and impassioned ; the romance is spicy and flirty; the characters are impulsive, sassy and determined.
Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde have written another captivating story in JUST A LITTLE SECRET. It was a quick, easy, emotional, passionate, and beautiful story. Georgia Brooks and Drew Daniels were easy to fall for, as they were both such likeable characters.
Georgia, in her own words, is a people pleaser. She's a good girl who doesn't like rocking the boat, whereas her sister Courtney believes it's time for Georgia to start letting loose and live a little. Georgia meets Drew, a successful lawyer, at an event honouring her father, and their chemistry is instant. Georgia recognizes Drew as one of the bachelors due to participate in a charity auction she was organizing. The night of the auction arrives, Courtney wins Drew and then quickly hands him over to Georgia as an early birthday present.
A weekend away is just what Georgia and Drew needed. A weekend of flirting, teasing, lust, and self-discovery. They're comfortable with each other, share secrets (but not all), and certainly know how to burn up the sheets. Drew definitely knows how to bring out the bad girl in Georgia. It's obvious they share a connection, both supporting and encouraging each other, when needed. Will the weekend be all they share together, or will they need more?
While Georgia and Drew are trying to work out just what is happening between them, they are also struggling with life outside their bubble. Georgia is constantly having to fend off a meddling mother and an unwanted suitor, both making her life miserable. Drew is struggling with his feelings for Georgia, he wasn't looking for a relationship after being burnt previously. He also has a major decision to make regarding his career.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Georgia and Drew's story was fun, inspiring, and incredibly sexy. I loved Courtney, she was a barrel of laughs, the best sister ever, she needs a story of her own. This is the second relationship that has come from the bachelor's auction, and we all know Tripp Daniels was also a participant, his story is next in Just A Little Promise.
JUST A LITTLE SECRET gave me all the fuzzies and a warm heart. A definite MUST READ.
I'm enjoying this crossover series, and I always love the books these 2 authors write together!
Georgia Brooks is a quintessential Good Girl. She follows the rules, and her parents wishes. She's the oldest, with a flighty, rebellious, younger sister. She's always gone along to get along, except when it's something she really cares about, like her college degree, and subsequent career choice. But now, her mother is pushing her father's protégé at her, even though she has no interest in him. She hates causing friction, but something's gotta give. She helps run a charity bachelor auction, where her sister wins a hot man for Georgia's birthday weekend. Drew will be the perfect distraction from her troubles.
Drew Daniels is a lawyer at the top of his game, and doesn't really have time for dating or relationships. He gets rooked into the charity auction by his sister-in-law, and is less than thrilled, until he's won by Georgia Brooks. They met a week earlier, and there was a lot of chemistry between them, so he's excited to see it bloom.
Drew and Georgia are very different people, and though he lays out up front that he can't commit to anything beyond the weekend, they're both sad about it after. Georgia was really hard for me to relate to, especially at first. Every time she kowtowed to her mother's demands, or bit her tongue instead of standing up for herself, I cringed. But she came a long way throughout the story, and I was so proud of her by the end! Drew kept making boneheaded decisions, without getting Georgia's opinion, and it was maddening too. But these two found something special together, and I enjoyed them figuring it out!
It's always fun catching up with other characters from the author's world too, and I enjoy peeking into many of their HEAs further down the road.
This one was shorter, but enjoyable!!
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This review is my personal opinion, voluntarily given. Reviewed by Megan from Romanced by the Book
Georgia Brooks is attending the Leadership in Law awards only because her father was being honored. It promised to be a long boring affair except for her sister Courtney's quiet commentary. They had just entered the ballroom when Elliot Eastman approaches, he has just been made a junior partner and he also wants to date Georgia. The problem is Georgia wants nothing to do with him and her parents think they'd make the perfect couple. She manages to slip away from Elliot after dinner, he really isn't her date regardless of the possessive way he acts with her. It's at the dessert table that she runs into the man who caught her eye earlier.
A bit of an uncomfortable situation with Elliot before Georgia leaves that party. Drew recognizes that Elliot could retaliate in some way. Possibly using Georgia to get to him so he backs off.
We learn that Drew has had problems with Elliot for a long time, since college in fact. Elliot simply can't accept someone can be and is better than him.
Georgia, Aurora and Billie have finished packing up the collection of things that would be delivered to the Meridian Hotel and be assembled on site by them, Lauren and Skye. Although Aurora would be delegated to overseeing the process since she's close to her due date. It's a real wake up call for Georgia when her mother calls berating her for dancing with Drew at the award gala. Apparently, someone took a picture of them dancing and her mother thought that was an insult to Elliot. While trying to keep the peace at least for the moment, Georgia agrees to think about a date with Elliot while in reality wouldn't give it a second thought.
Things really start going forward when Georgia's sister, Courtney wins the date with Drew at the Charity Fund Raiser. Only she didn't win him for herself, the date is a birthday gift for Georgia. Drew seals the deal by kissing Georgia the way he'd wanted to at the gala.
These two have more than a couple of things to overcome in their personal lives and in Drew's case his business life as well. Their journey is exciting, romantic, and fun with lots of sizzle.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
This is book two in A Dare Crossover Novel and it is Georgia and Drew’s story. Georgia works for a nonprofit organisation which she loved but her parents never let her forget that they wanted her to work as a lawyer at there family law firm and now they were trying to get her to date Elliott who works for her father which s definitely not happening regardless of how hard they push because even though Georgia was a people pleaser she could still hold her own and she wanted to marry who she wants and not be pressured by her parents. Drew is a successful lawyer and after he was cheated on he decided to concentrate on his job and only did one night stands but now he had been coerced into being part of the bachelor auction for a good cause even though he is not looking forward to it especially as he will need to spend the weekend with the person who wins the bid. When Georgia and Drew meet for the first time there attraction and chemistry is off the charts hot but it would complicate things if they acted on it and then Georgia’s sister Courtney won the bid for Drew and gave it to her sister Georgia for her birthday gift it shocked Drew and Georgia leaving them both in a difficult situation but how will it all end and what will the outcome be for Georgia and Drew. The more time that Georgia and Drew spend together the harder they fall but Drew had a hard decision to make but will he make the right or wrong one only time will tell. Wow I was completely hooked right from the beginning and even though we are only on book two I can’t wait to read more. I couldn’t put this book down because it was so emotional and addictive with great characters and a storyline that pulled you in and kept your attention throughout. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.
Drew Beck is a high powered Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney for a prominent law firm in NYC. He is too focused to he in a committed relationship as his one failed attempt proved to him three years deviously. He and his pediatrician older brother Tripp, are being auctioned off for a fundraiser connected to his sister-in law Chloe via her sister, Aurora’s non-profit, dedicated to helping foster Children. Georgia Brooks, the eldest daughter of Attorney Roland Brooks and his wife Nina, is on stuff with Aurora’s non-profit having found a love for this organization while in college, refocusing her mother’s intention that she pursue Law. At a Lawyer’s dinner, where her father is bring honored, Drew and Georgia cross paths. They share a dance, and conversation about the auction as well as common interests. At the auction, Georgia’s younger sister Courtney bids on Drew as a birthday present for her sister… a weekend together with the handsome bachelor. While their mother keeps trying to get Georgia involved with an attorney in her the Brooks family law firm, Elliot Eastman, Drew and Georgia have other ideas. Carly Phillips and Ericka Wilde have written a delightful story of love, compatibility, commonality, stupidity, ugliness and humor with a feisty heroine, determined in her own way and independence to not settle for what “mom wants” but what works for her. Her hero has to stumble, fall and accept that he can actually have “it all”…the law he loves and the woman not in any order. Witty and charming dialogue weaves throughout the book. Passion, pain, ugly moments, hurtful word spewed and healing with wine and ice cream rule this delightful fast paced story. An absolute fun read and in a case you missed Beck’s and Chloe’s book, check them out.. and look forward to big brother Tripp’s book. He was auctioned off also but to whom? Are there more than 5 stars?
Georgia Brooks has always been the good girl, good daughter, good friend. So when she meets lawyer, Drew Daniels, she fantasizes all the bad she could do. Drew Daniels noticed Georgia Brooks the first time he laid eyes on her. Drew doesn't do relationships because of work and things from his past, but Georgia may just be a temporary fun time.
When Georgia's sister, Courtney decides to surprise her by bidding and winning Drew in the bachelor auction as her birthday present, Georgia is very excited. An entire weekend with Drew Daniels sounds like many of her fantasies just might come true.
The weekend Drew plans with Georgia turns out to be more fun and steamy then either of them imagined. What was suppose to be only a weekend fling turns into something more. The only problem is that Drew's work load is going to keep him very busy and take him to another country so he will not have the time to devote to a relationship, so he does the polite thing and cools things down. Too bad Georgia has already fallen in love with Drew and does not take his actions to kindly. It will take a lot of internal reasoning before this couple can find their happy ever after, but once they do, life will never be the same.
I just loved this very steamy read. Georgia was always the good person who did what others expected but for only the second time in her life she was going to do what she wanted.....and that was Drew! Drew was a thoughtful, great guy who put work ahead of his personal life. It took finding Georgia for him to realize there is more to life than just work. Together these two just exploded in chemistry and were HOT HOT HOT! Overall this was a fun, entertaining read and I can't wait for Tripp's story in Just a Little Promise.
Just a Little Secret is the second book in the Dare Crossover series. This series focuses on a bachelor auction benefiting a non-profit organization, Future Fast Track, that helps foster children aging out of the system get a start on their adult lives. This is the second bachelor to be focused on, Drew. This romance can be read as a standalone book.
Drew is a hard-working attorney who was recently made a partner. He has found out the hard way, that working the needed hours to climb the ladder at the law firm isn't helpful to maintaining a relationship, when his ex-girlfriend had an affair. His sister-in-law runs Future Fast Track and talked both Drew and his single brother into selling themselves at auction for a Friday to Sunday date.
Georgia is the daughter of one of Drew's competitor law firm partners. They meet at a Leadership in Law awards banquet honoring Georgia's father with a lifetime achievement award. Georgia works at the same n0n-profit helping foster kids that will be hosting the bachelor auction the following week. Drew and Georgia have sparks flying all night and Georgia's sister, Courtney, notices their attraction. So does Elliot, the Junior Partner at their dad's law firm, who her mom is pushing at Georgia to date at every opportunity. So, the week of the auction arrives and Courtney bids for Drew and wins. The surprise? She did it for Georgia's birthday gift, since she saw the sizzle between them. This is where the fun really begins. Will Georgia give in to her inner bad girl and have a weekend fling with Drew? Will Drew recognize Georgia as someone special in his life who is not like his Ex before it is too late? Enjoy this steamy, weekend that changes everything for both Drew and Georgia.
