This is an anthology of various documents and speeches related to the establishment and fight for freedom in America. I appreciated that Bridges included a brief paragraph or two before each piece describing some of the context and summarizing the most important points from the text that followed.

A note not necessarily about the writing itself, it was fascinating reading the documents and speeches from our nation’s past and how many themes apply today in our current context.
