“Don’t get me wrong, I still want to do whatever I can to help, but my motto’s always been, “with little power comes little responsibility.”
”Before long, we’ll have enough guys to repopen the He-Man Woman Hater’s Club”
In a sudden twist (itself a good thing!) we are suddenly with an all-female acting troupe making their away across the lands. This is just wonderful weird stuff. It’s laugh out loud hysterical!
Act Two makes me laugh out loud right away! I could not love that issue any more!
Wow. This is some f’ed up sh*t. I love it.
”Although the antibiotics make his stool extremely soft, as the ungrateful little fuck will be happy to show you.
This is the definition of a page turn and a heckuva lot of fun.
Holy crap this book is so much fun I can’t even describe it. Lots of girls get killed, Yorick craps his pants several times. Ampersand (the monkey) is just as annoying a monkey would be.
I know I’m probably late to reading this book, but it’s a definite 5 stars.
First of all. I love the reveal that the concept of this series was based off of a Mary Shelley novel. I love learning real world info from graphic novels.
Secondly. As the world expanded from the east coast of the US where there are factions of militarized women, political tensions with the collapse of government and all that, to rural mad max kinda feel, it lost me. What I realized is that all the women were acting stereotypically like men. Violent, hyper aggressive, consumed with sexual urges, and there are really no exceptions. It just got old and tired. There are no endearing characters other than the man. That just doesn’t sit well with me.
I suppose it could be the result of massive worldwide trauma or could be another consequence of whatever happened to cause this in the first place but I don’t have the patience to kind out.
I’m not huge on post apocalyptic literature so this was probably never going to be a great fit for me. I just loved the authors other work and had high hopes.
