This book suffers from not having a clear audience - at times it seems totally "inside baseball" and at others, Chattin seems to be evangelizing more generally. In any event, far too much of the text focuses on defending Montessori against her various critics (which is less useful than actually talking about what Montessori does and doesn't do).
