While maybe a bit dated, this book contains a wealth of knowledge about the ins-and-outs of airplane ownership, including items that a dreaming buyer probably hasn't thought of yet. The first half of the book is somewhat difficult reading, as it deals with not-so-fun topics like insurance, financing, and inspections, but the reader is rewarded in the final chapters as Ellis describes various single-engine airplanes in an honest, frank, and often entertaining manner. Perusers of sites like Trade-A-Plane will probably find the information in this book invaluable in evaluating the listings.
