Mais um romance apaixonante e sem dúvida sedutor desta saga...amo o modo como a autora me consegue deixar perdida de amores pelas suas histórias de amor, pelos seus casais maravilhosos.

A história da Diana e do Thorne foi muito querida dadas as circunstâncias em que se vêem envolvidos 🤭 é impossível negar o amor que os une, negar a química que transborda para a arte.

É lindo, é aventureiro, é a prova de que os Guardiões estão mesmo todos destinados a ter grandes amores.

"Mi dispiace deludervi, ma il mio interesse per l'anatomia umana è puramente professionale."

Dopo un primo volume un po' introduttivo, la serie ambientata tra l'Isola di Cirene (che, confesso, non ho ancora compreso se esista davvero) ha finalmente decollato e infatti questo secondo romanzo mi è piaciuto molto di più.
Si parte benissimo con Thorne, uno dei Custodi della Spada, che emerge dalle acque, nudo e glorioso, stile versione maschile di Venere, e una giovane nobildonna che come prima reazione pensa bene di fargli un ritratto al volo, memorizzando forme e misure...

Ho subito simpatizzato con Diana, perché è un personaggio anticonformista nell'universo di giovani donne di belle maniere: non solo si è fatta rovinare a causa di un ex che voleva più una dote sicura che lei, non solo è stata allontanata e messa ai margini per lo scandalo, ma ha trovato la forza di inseguire comunque il suo sogno di divenire una pittrice professionista, sfidando il divieto sociale che considerava l'arte pittorica (ma praticamene tutto il resto) alle donne.
E infatti a lei sono precluse le lezioni di nudo all'accademia, per non porla a contatto con modelli maschili. Fortuna che lei ha il suo finto fidanzato che la protegge e la difende, incoraggiandola a farsi valere.

Mi è piaciuta ogni scena tra i due, la passione che divampa e che deve essere contenuta, l'indagine sui nemici dell'Ordine a Londra e nel mare Mediterraneo, la storia collaterale della viziata cugina Amy, il personaggio di madame Venus.
Si avverte che questo Introvabile appartiene a un'altra generazione di storici, perché le penne sono più disinibite, le passioni più goderecce senza mai cadere nel volgare, le autrici si divertivano a narrare di uomini intrepidi e sensuali, buttandoli nell'azione senza pensarci troppo.
A questo punto sono curiosa di proseguire con gli altri due agenti/custodi, che mi paiono altrettanto tenebrosi e pieni di segreti (Alex Ryder, un nome a caso...).

No puedo decir q no me gustó xq sí lo hizo; pero me ha resultado demasiado cliché. Es decir, es entretenida y se disfruta pero no hay grandes cosas q destacar. Se entiende q la autora ha querido hacer de Diana una protagonista fuera de lo común como en el libro anterior, pero en mi opinión no le ha salido. Diana es una pintora excepcional pero precisamente creo q la trama pudo haber explotado más esta faceta combinada con su condición de mujer, creando situaciones mucho más interesantes. Thorne por su parte es exactamente lo q se espera q sea, aquí no hay mayores sorpresas salvo por el hecho de que lo veo mucho más indeciso de lo q debería haber sido. Y me explico: en este tipo de historias eres un libertino seductor pero cuando encuentras al amor de tu vida lo persigues sin descanso y aunq ésto pasa en la historia, lo sentí muy tibio como q Thorne no le puso todo el empeño q debió haberle puesto.
Los personajes secundarios bien, aunq creo q se pudieron haber explotado más y mejor; no solo el romance Amy&John Yates sino también el tire y afloje entre Thorne y su papá. Y el ex de Diana también pudo haber salido un poco más escaldado.
Así q si lo van a leer, no esperen gran cosa.

Uma comédia romântica de época.
Para quem não sabe, este é o meu tema preferido para leituras, contudo, a historia em si não foi a mais envolvente. Logo no início tive alguma dificuldade em apegar-me ao livro, o que só acabou por acontecer ao fim das primeiras 30 ou 40 páginas e com bastante insistência, e para mim, um livro deve envolver-nos logo na primeira página. Acabei por ficar pelo mistério que foi surgindo e pelo tema geral de época. Contudo, é um livro que demora para desenvolver e acrescenta pormenores de contextualização que, a determinada altura, achei dispensáveis. O erotismo e o mistério acabam por nos envolver, no entanto, a historia de amor em si, trata-se de apenas mais uma cliché básica que pouco acrescenta. Para um livro com tantas páginas e de letra tão pequena, achei o final um pouco forçado. Depois de tanta informação desnecessária, faltou algo mais. Acabar a historia na ilha, como um final perfeito, foi apenas isso, um final perfeito. Fugindo um pouco à realidade do que seria a integração deles na sociedade de que tanto se falou ao longo do livro.
No geral, gostei, mas atribuiria uma classificação de 3,89 estrelas.

Thorne is much more than what meets the eye! In the previous book, I loved how reckless he seemmed and how danger thrilled him. But in this one you get to know how he cherish friendship and how loyal he is to his friends. Im glad that all the "she's out of limits" thing fade quickly, because, frankly, I was madly seduced by him by the third chapter lol the romance is good and the way that Thorne overcome Diana's defenses its subtle but effective. I would like it more if the mistery and danger plot was better developed, but loved the horses scene and the one at the castle too. Just think that it was a bit rushed and "wtf its this character". The villain appears out of the blue, but its a plot twist of sorts. Diana its very enchanting and would make a great guardian too. Frankly, Im sad to put this book down!

This story takes place in Regency London. It involves the Viscount Thorne who is a member a group of protectors known as the Guardians and in addition, there is a woman artist who is looking for recognition as an artist. Thorne has pressure from his father to marry so they agree ( for their benefit) to begin to pose as betrothed. Then, circumstances change and they must marry although she strongly objects. As their marriage progresses and danger is near, they both find that they need to help each other.

Uno más en la lista de libros sin más.
Sin duda esperaba mucho de Nicole Jordan, pero está claro que tiene como 2 sagas buenas y el resto pues.. se queda a medias.
Ni la historia de amor, ni los personaes, ni la trama es especialmente original ni interesante. Por suerte en comparación con otros, éste no tiene comportamientos deplorables, ni machismo imperante. Tampoco me ha sacado de quicio ni se me ha hecho largo.
Sirve y cumple una lectura simple y sencilla con amor, sin más. Pero seamos conscientes que con lo basto que es el género hay mil opciones mejores que ésta (y sí, otras muchas peores).

ok this is my second book reading Nicole Jordan. The plot was amazing but not that good for me, because the female character does have a trust issue and the male itself potray a single player bachelor but after they meet the guy was not the same anymore. Basically it's fine then but yeah that's the plot lol

Thorne has been given the guardianship of his friend Nate's younger sister Amy. Thorne has been told by his father that he must marry. Diana Sheridan, Nate's sister Diana, follows him to Cyrene to help Amy. They agree to pretend to be engaged so he can search for Nate's killer, and she can be protected from scandal. The Guardians are nearly destroyed but for Thorne and Diana's help.

Egy könnyed, erotikusabb, történelmi romantikus regény, ami a 19. század elején játszódik. Nem csak a romantikáról szól a történet, vannak mellékszálak, amik még érdekesebbé, izgalmasabbá teszik. Nagyon olvasmányos, nagyon kellemes, ebben a műfajban, így ahogy van, tökéletesnek mondanám. Egy kicsit hosszabb lett tán, mint amilyennek lennie kellett volna szerintem, de csillagos ötös.

Bem, a escrita é fluída, mas os personagens... O que o casal teve mais química é a Amy e o John do que os próprios protagonistas. A história foi bem previsível até o final foi bem clichê. Resumindo, a mulher linda e virgem que não quer cair na tentação de um playboy charmoso e o playboy quer ela pra si porque, segundo ele, é uma mulher ✨ diferenciada ✨ e que o ignora. No fim, ela é comida na mesma, bruh.
