A mysterious allumni comes to the school as a substitute teacher and manages to take away Tatsuki's powers - which is of course what he's always wanted. Then Kotaro gets kidnapped by a rival basketball team and powerless Tatsuki can't find him. Ooooh the plot thickens. Just who was the mysterious guy with the gold aura? And what is the real relationship between our ESPer's powers? What is so special about Kotaro? - we haven't actually see him do anything other than act as a focus for the other two. There's lots of moody Tastsuki too, nice!

The boys' lives are disrupted by the arrival of Udou, another young man with special abilities. A mysterious girl photographer catches them all in action and starts following them. And Tatsuki's powers spin even more out of control.

Three and a half stars. I really enjoyed this volume. Lots of interesting character development, and I'm crossing my fingers a certain secondary character makes a re-appearance in the later volumes.

I understand the development of the plot and all but I hope it goes back to being light-hearted and funny soon.

I loved this volume! The first chapter was close to perfect, Udou's powers are super intriguing and Tatsuki has exactly the right amount of angst.

The one thing I didn't like about this volume is the fact that Kotarou is useless and just cannot keep himself from getting kidnapped. It's time to come up with some new plot devices, kthanks.
