I enjoyed watching Roxie fight her attraction to Ike. The instant attraction they felt towards each other was very sensuous. Ike and Roxie, had trust issues, they both had several demons from their pasts to deal with and they both were used to being loners. No wonder they were attracted to each other, they were definitely "twin souls", they were so much alike it was scary. Ike was definitely a man that knows what he wants and "ain't" afraid to go after it! And he was definitely in HOT pursuit of Roxie. The primary and secondary characters were quite memorable. Ms. Overton gives us some shady characters, a loyal godson, a ruthless casino owner and several unscrupulous casino employees. The shocking surprises, the "double-dealings", the hot and steamy nights are intoxicating, and the suspense is just enough to have readers wondering who the "real" bad guy/s are. A Job Well Done Ms. Overton! A very well written tale about the city that never sleeps! Looking forward to reading more from you!
