Very easy to read book, well formatted, with quick, interesting, though not particularly fascinating stories. Good to hear about some interesting tales from the local area.

I have just finished reading Jurassic Coast Justice. Another great collection of stories by Mark. I particularly liked the chilling The Cry From The Grave, the heartbreaking The Angel Makers (I had an interest in that as I have read about the subject in other books and publications) and Storm In A Teacup, which I found amusing. Given the distance Mark would have had to travel, the amount of research in this hook is impressive. I am hoping that his Trial By Jury event is not limited to Scotland. An event for his English readers, based around Jurassic Coast Justice would be well received. I would certainly try to attend myself. Crime and the seaside? Yes please.

Not bad, but it didn't especially pull me in either. The stories are very short and disjointed, with a lot of quoted dialogue from trials but not much in the way of details for most of the crimes. A couple of stories stood out as being more interesting than others - The Cry From The Grave and The Jealous Husband were both much more entertaining than the rest of the book. Most of it was short and lacking detail.

Content aside, there were a few mistakes that should have been caught in editing. A couple of typos and a really odd change of font size between chapters.

A wide variety of short true crime tales from the Jurassic Coast in mostly the 18th and 19th centuries, ranging from theft and murder, to mutiny and U-boat attacks. Really interesting snippets of life as it was. Some of the stories don't have a satisfactory ending as there is no record of who actually committed the crime!
