When I first got Deacon Newsome's book, I was determined to take the author's advice and read a chapter a day. It was holiday time and, was I'm sure you can imagine, a chapter a day became a chapter every two or three days or even one's a week. I decided, for the sake of a timely review, I'd read three book through and then to back and take my time.
The content of this book is wonderful. Having read parts of the original Introduction to the Devout Life, this book helped me put it in terms I can place in my life. I can easily see reading a chapter a day and doing the exercises. I can also see this was a great weekly discussion for a small group.
Well done! Definitely should be on every Catholic's must read must.
