Good working book.

Good book on applying the covenant principles to leadership in a congregation. He used a lot of scripture to back his teaching and showed good examples of how this works

A Handbook for Integrity and Loyalty

This book is loaded with biblical principles for relationships with family, the church, and the people of the world. It talks about the biblical principles for relationships of the new covenant church, drawing on the old and new testaments as examples and guidelines. Further, it talks about our roles and responsibilities and the roles of leaders in the home, church, workplace and community, our role as parents, etc. There are certainly parts that may not apply that you could choose to breeze over, but I chose to read the book in its entirety. While the book itself is not terribly lengthy, it took me a while to get through simply because of the density of the content. I definitely recommend Christians with leadership aspirations within the church or elsewhere to read this book, discerning for themselves the standard we should hold for ourselves and our relationships with others.

I liked the topic. i found it somewhat tedious in the way it was presented. my expectations where more in line with the second half of the book where i was looking for practical advice in developing relationships. There were many many typing errors in the book. In almost every chapter the letter t was missing from the headings. it was distracting and greatly reduced the quality of the book.

Excellent and practical book for self-assessment and improvement in relationships. Based on a biblical worldview. Also, there are a few chapters on church structure, roles, etc.

This is a great book!

However, in the middle there are a few chapters that seem unrelated to me about the topic. It seemed like the author wanted to put everything he had ever learned into one book and it didn’t seem to fit. Also within those chapters, there were some things I disagreed with.

Beside those chapters though, this book is really amazing! It gave me such a deeper understanding of God’s heart and biblical context. I would recommend it.

(I would give it five stars besides the few chapters I mentioned.)

Pretty decent book about making and keeping covenants. I agreed with a lot of it. Sometimes, I felt it came so close, it just missed the mark. Not bad at all.
