He has represented his country many times at international competitions, winning several of these. One of the highlights of his life was meeting the late Queen not just once, but twice.

Dave is much revered by the military sniping community. When some snipers said, “Give us the tools and we will do the job,” Dave obliged. His designs are still very much in use today around the world, constantly evolving and always delivering on the battlefield.

This book is about the real man behind the gun, a man who was not scared to put all his eggs in one basket and succeed. This is not about the pursuit of fame or even fortune, but excellence and self-belief. The results are a testament to a remarkable man and a life very well lived.
