This is a standalone, new adult, high school hockey romance novel with morally gray characters.
BLAKE I warned her, and she didn't listen, now I’m going to ruin her…. I have everything, the money, the girls, the reputation, but it didn’t keep me out of juvie...because of August Miles. Now she will learn to keep her mouth shut, and listen to orders.
AUGUST He warned me to keep my mouth shut. I did. But it didn't do me any favors. He still came for me, made me his little toy, to have fun whenever he wants.

okayyyy so first thing, this book needs to have the triggers listed either in the front or linked to the back rather than being told to email them if you want to know what they are... I will die on this hill!! Secondly Blake is a huge fucking DICK for 95% of the book, the only time he's not is when he's helping August breathe through her panic/anxiety attacks.
Like I've already stated Blake is a dick, he's under the assumption that August is the one who had him thrown in to juvie for five months for something he didn't do, but no matter how many times she tells him it wasn't her that went to the police he refuses to believe her and continues on with his mission to break her. He makes her wear a collar which he attaches either a leash or a chain to and tells her to crawl to him and forces her to do what she very clearly doesn't want to. Blake is supposed to be jealous/possessive but how you gonna let your boys do that to someone you claim is YOURS until you're done.
I did actually feel sorry for August in the beginning, her fear was palpable when it came to Blake but then I started getting angry at her for never even trying to stand up for herself, she was too much of a doormat for me. She spent most of the book crying, I'm surprised the poor girl isn't dehydrated. She needed more bite to her especially with dealing with someone like Blake and his band of merry assholes.
Now don't get me wrong I LOVE dark romance and I LOVE hockey romances but they don't seem to gel that well together, there was actually more cage fighting in this book than there was hockey, like the hockey aspect didn't actually add anything to the plot. I feel like this book had so much potential but missed the mark by a mile. So I'll finish by saying if you love nothing but non-con with a H who is not redeemable then you'll absolutely love this book!!
just to be clear, blake definitely r@pes august and let’s his friend do stuff to her and he pierces her nipples while she’s sleeping (?) and she just forgives him? am i reading this correctly?
also the characters had no dimension and the plot was meh. i could see where this book was headed but it did not get there, not even close.
This feels like this author tried to do her own version of a Sam Mariano type of book, but make it smuttier and less wordy. That's not a bad idea! It had potential, but didn't quite land. The hero and heroine lacked depth and personality, and they had maybe 3 brain cells between them.
Also, even though I don't like most of Sam Mariano's heroines, she does often have a way of making the "bland and stupid" type of heroine work (at least in her better books like Untouchable and Even If It Hurts). But in this book, this type of heroine doesn't work. She isn't the worst doormat I've ever read - she does push him away at one point. But, she's still a HUGE doormat, and makes irritatingly dumb choices. This hero also isn't a fun enough unapologetic psycho.
But if the concept of, "Sam Mariano type of book, but smuttier and less wordy" sounds good to you, then maybe you'd like this book.

Let’s start by saying this book needs another round of editing, especially near the end. There’s missing words, misspelled words and truncated sentences.
This is a dark bully book. There’s no childish pranks here. This is full on noncon/dubcon. Blake fancies himself not a rapist, but a punisher for the girl he thinks got him thrown in juvie. Let’s call a spade a spade, when the heroine continually tells you no, screams in pain, yet you touch her anyway, well that’s rape. Blake’s favorite kink is chains, which I found interesting and different. This features bdsm pleasure and pain vibes.
Despite Blake saying that he never wanted to hurt anyone like his mother was hurt, he often abuses August by pulling her hair, throwing her against the car or grabbing her arm hard enough to leave bruises during arguments. I’m not sure how he justified these actions, because these are done even after he learns that she was not the one that ratted him out. Furthermore they are never addressed after the reconciliation, except for Blake to say he won’t hurt her. I love how protective he is of her with anyone but himself. He never makes fun of her anxiety but helps her through it.
Logan and Travis are the best friends. In the beginning Blake allows them to touch August, which she adamantly objects to. I do give kudos to Logan for apologizing for his actions. Travis always left me with a little bit of a slimy feeling though.
I don’t have strong feelings about August either way sometimes she was strong and sometimes she was just so tired. She gave up and submitted that’s OK. She managed to ice him out for a whole two weeks before going back to him at the end.
My biggest issue with this book was at the end, and I took an entire half star off just for it. Blakes Dad tells him that if he loses a fight he can have his mothers heirloom engagement ring, but if he loses then his nemesis gets August. What bothered me is Blake had to think about this for a minute. He should automatically have picked August, but no, he really had to think about it, and in the end gambles that he’s going to find blackmail against his father instead.
Again, kudos to Logan and Travis, who are very pissed at Blake for even considering this. We don’t ever know what the plan is if he can’t find blackmail other than Blake says he has to take the risk, and he promised August that he would never let Liam touch her, but again, I’m not sure it ever should’ve been up for consideration. I was actually quite OK with the book up until that part.
There’s also the small matter of an anonymous gift giver, it’s never explained what the point was of sending those. The title says hockey romance but there’s actually more cage fighting than hockey.
I’ll read the blurb for Logan’s story and see if it sounds interesting, but I don’t have much interest in reading Travis’s story.
DNF at 72%. The erotic scenes are good, but the characters feel like cartoons. I didn’t have too many problems with the heroine being a doormat so much as I found to hard to believe in the hero. I found him to be childish. I think the author was going for a “bad ass hero”, but because we get his POV, it’s not very convincing.
I found this book very repetitive. The h was forever crying, and the H was unforgivable. August was a very weak character. she only tried to stand up for herself like twice after everything Blake did to her. The only time I cheered for her was when she punched out the person who set her up in the first place. Blake...Now don't get me wrong, I love my bullies, the dark heroes if you will, because in the end they usually do something that makes you love them in some way, but Blake gives no Fs and makes no apologies. The only time I liked him was when he actually tried to be gentle with August during her panic attacks. Now there was some serious kink in here which is usually a yay in my book but when it's almost 100% non-con that's a nay for me. Not to say this book didn't have some potential just not for me.
Blake Carter checked all the boxes for a bully. I absolutely devoured this book. I loved it from start to finish. My dark heart was craving a ruthless bully and Blake did not disappoint. The twists. The turns. The betrayals. I ate this tf up. I cannot wait to devour the rest of the series.
⛓️mf loved chains. Chained her any way he could. 🫠
“Make you suck my dick in front of everyone, or are you going to be a good little slut and let my cum leak out of you all night?”
No. Just no. I don’t understand how a demented book like this is a love story, like I like my dark romances but why does every book have her raped… and then she falls in love with him.
“I’m a lot of things, but I’m no fucking rapist.”
YES HE IS… August begged HIM TO STOP SO MANY TIMES AND YET HE NEVER DID. HE WAS AN ASSHOLE AND UTTER ASSHOLE.
I WAS HOPING SOMEONE BEAT HIS ASS DEAS CAUSE THATS WHAT HE DESERVES…
“I’m going to kill him if he has messed with my pill.”
Again… I believe this rape as well… like consensual about protection and then tampering with it is pure abuse.
“I’ve never touched high school pussy before, you’re the first.”
absolutely horrible so horrible
the only thing actually ok about this book was august and her plot line minus whatever the main character guys name is ITS BLAKE stupid name stupid character…
I tried 😩. Really, I did. I did not want to start 2024 with a DNF. I’d heard good buzz about this. Comparisons to Sam Mariano. Alas, this was a quiet the disappointment.
I hope this is the authors first book. The writing is very basic and choppy. There’s no flow or finesse. It’s very poor unfortunately. I tried really hard to look past it because I wanted to consume the story despite the lackluster packaging. I give up though. It’s not worth it. It just keeps getting worse and somehow more preposterous.
I’m only 8% in and I’m raising my white flag.
Not safe.

I like the idea here but the execution is poor. The author needs to hone her writing skill.
August becomes a much more interesting character once she discovers Blake’s deception and grows a backbone. And Blake … he never entirely won me over but he gets better as the story moves along.
The plot of the story was good. The excessive attention given to the chains 🙄 🥱 and the editing errors 😑 … not so much.
I am interested in reading the next book. Hoping for improvements 🙏
Through 80% of the book August was a doormat, the worst of the worst and then finally becomes a much more interesting character once she discovers Blake’s deception and grows a backbone. The storyline was far-fetched; the characters were a bit unbelievable and unrealistic and a lot of errors throughout the book. It was a dark book, which I dnf'd almost several times, which hasn't happened in years.
Listen im all for degradation, humiliation, bullying cause its always been my thing and the revenge plot. The book just wasn’t for me. 😅
I don’t really mind typos, but it got to the point where it got noticeable. It had a promising plot from the start till where I left of. It really kept me going and, but ill leave it off there.
Rich Boy by Ruby Wolff is the story of Blake Carter and August Miles. Blake is a young rich and plays hockey. Blake is close to his two friends Logan and Travis. August is the sweet innocent young women who has and awful time and the total opposite of Blake. Blake ends up getting in trouble because someone ratted him out and he goes to juvenile detention where he suffers a lot. Blake thinks that someone is August and he is going to make her life impossible. This is a dark bully romance with the anti-hero. I enjoyed this book.
Rich Boy is the first book I have read by Ruby Wolff and boy am I pleasantly surprised. The plot is incredibly intriguing and the characters are even more complex and layered. I have loved the fact that the story starts quite fast and never ever lets up. There were some disconnects not in the story but the writing that I would have liked to flow better but it didn’t take away from the brilliance of the story. I should definitely mention that Rich Boy has been the hottest, spiciest book I have read this year by far and I am so thankful for that😉. The smex scenes were quite often and detailed. I wouldn’t have imagined chains could be this sensual. And the neck kiss, god, it gives me goosebumps. I am definitely looking forward to Logan’s book next.
There is crazy, there is ridiculous and then there is wtf did I just read.
This is definitely not for me. This is dark, this is disturbing ( and I love disturbing) and this is one step beyond with what I am comfortable of.
🔶 virgin h 🔶 no cheating 🔶 ow/om drama 🔶 H doesn’t give a rats ass of h 🔶 There is no clear reason why H blames h 🔶 How a person with severe anxiety can endure without panic attacks those crazy moments what H puts h trough. 🔶 H lets two of his friends touch her ( sucking breasts, playing with her vag) 🔶 I guess it will have more triggers coming
At this point 20% there is no chemistry, I don’t understand why he claims h to be HIS? but then letting his friends on her. How she just takes it and cries, no trauma of sexual abuse?
fyuh!!!! fuck up banget sumpah untuk ukuran anak SMA ahahahaha... tp ceritanya bagus, bikin penasaran tu masalahnya si Blake benci banget sama August tu kenapa coba, kr setting awal ude Blake pokoknya dendam dan August sadar apa yg menantikan die pas masuk sekolah.. pasti bakalan dibully sama Blake ahahahaha
✨✨𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄✨✨ Rich Boy by @authorrubywolff A Dark High School Bully Hockey Romance ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
This book was a ride. It came out hitting hard and then the story of Blake and August became softer. This is the first time I have read anything by Ruby and will be checking out her other stuff.
The book starts as Blake taking revenge on August for something he think she did. She has no choice other than to go along with his demands. It starts with humiliation and ownership. Over the course of the story several things happen and it changes the relationship between Blake and August.
I want to say so much about this story, but I don't want to give any away. I was worried about their being too many elements, but everything fits into the story just right.
I went into this blind without reading the warnings *they're a guide for me at this point*, but it would be good to check out. I gave this books 4/5 because of some of the events that happened aren't my cup of tea, but you do you Boo.
The book is a good mixture of spice and plot. I didn't realize how fast I flew through this book. I was surprised when I reached the end. I will be continuing this series. I want to see what happens to Blake's dad. I hope that jerk gets what he is owed.
Rich Boy comes out July 6th and will be available on Amazon.

Wow so this book was a great read i hope this author has more books like this with this level on noncon/dubcon it was amazing. Loved blakes obsession with august and putting her in chains. The sex scenes were off the scale hot 🥵
Small run down H is sent to juvenile prison for something he didn’t do and is beating alot by the guards. He think he’s in there because the h gave a statement but only she’s didn’t but the H punishes her and uses her as his dirty toy. No one can touch her if they legit are never found again or turn up 💀 The storyline is good Hated his dad for the crap he did Blake is super jp and will unalive anyone that comes close even jealous girls. There are trigger so if check them out Only neg thing I didn’t like was the h crying all the time it’s was ok to begin with as it was understandable but it just got abit annoying but other defo recommend it
Rich Boy by Ruby Wolff is consuming! You will be hooked from the start!
Blake Carter I have so many words to describe him. I hated/loved him. He’s been through it and has a past that you’ll feel a little bit of sympathy for him because of it. But overall my love/hate relationship with him turned into nothing but love at the end! He’s possessive…jealous….just how I like em.
August I was rooting for this girl from the beginning. At times I wanted to scream at her to show her strength.
Opposite Attract that is what these two are.
The story got better and better as time went on. It’s been awhile since a story held my attention as much as Rich Boy did. I didn’t want to put this one down. Ruby Wolff delivered not only a 5 star read but a top of 2023!
Blake and his boys Logan and Travis are family. They really are the definition of you mess with one you mess with all. But add in August…..no words!
I can’t wait to see what she pulls out of her hat for the next book. Something tells me these boys stories are just going to get messier and I’m here for it!
This is my first book by this author, wasn’t disappointed. This is a fast paced book with plenty of drama, secrets, twists and steamy times. There are lots of triggers so heed the authors warning. This an extremely dark read
Blake is the unapologetic anti hero who you’ll want to hate but eventually he wears you down and you start to see some of his redeeming qualities. August is likeable character but I often felt frustrated with her as wish she had more of a backbone stand up for herself. Their chemistry is hot! Sheesh, you’ll be clutching your pearls for some of these scenes!
All in all, good read, thoroughly recommend

I absolutely loved this book. It’s my favorite kind of bully romance. Blake starts off as complete jerk but as the book progresses his heart definitely starts to soften. The spice was phenomenal and the storyline was engaging.
Rich Boy is centered around Blake and August. Blake believes August had a hand in him being sent to Juvie and now wants to ruin her life and then leave her. Blake is a fighter, a hockey player, and an alphahole and I loved him!
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers Revenge Romance Bully Romance Dark Hockey Romance
I had a hard time with this one. Usually I love bully romances but this one was problematic for several reasons. T begin with, maybe it’s the genre but there were new submissive aspects I came across first time, and perhaps I am not a fan…. Also I could not relate to the characters whatsoever. The Hero is was horrible, and while they usually are for a while (being the bully’s), this is the first for me reading “sob”, “cry”, “scream” in almost every sex scene. Again, maybe this is the genre and I just don’t know, but even with previous books that I’ve read that included Don/sub aspects, I never encountered this. So again, maybe it’s just me and I stumbled on a genre I don’t recognise, where painful interactions are a thing, but for me it wa brutal. At the end I had a hard time reconciling the hero with him loving her and her forgiving him after everything….
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ First time I read a ruby wolff book I loved it. • Enemies to lovers • Revenge • Bully Romance • a possessive MMC this book had me feeling all this emotions A must read Off to read Logan book.
What's up with the writing? It's hard to follow and makes no sense. I like a good bully book but this goes from underground mma, to some hockey to bullying 🤦🤦 pick a lane! I dnfed. Shocker, I know
