I enjoyed reading this again. I read it in 1984, when my friend, Denise Gess wrote this novel. A good book with vivid characters, and a lot of tolerance and strength! A dysfunctional family, learning to accept their dysfunctions!
Good job my friend and RIP!! 💕

"We are saved as we are."

Good Deeds is a story about Dana Cogan and her dysfunctional family constituting of Irving, Alan and their mother Millie.
Dana is in a pretty weird place in life, stuck between two men- David and Gregory and stuck between whether she should help her dysfunctional family or not.

Anyway, she decides to help the family and finds herself in a rut. This novel is a beautiful mixture of tragedy and comedy and Dana's struggle to make her family *normal* again.

A beautiful, comic light read, Good Deeds will hit you at the right place.

Conclusion:

Why haven't they made a movie yet?
