Overall Thoughts:
"When he noticed he was approaching a stopped vehicle, Blake pinched himself to make sure he was awake. Cars didn't park on streets, especially when there was no civilization nearby."
What an odd generalization. I guess no car in time has ever stopped on a road with no houses.
Blake decides to stop his car and check on the person in the middle of no where, but he thinks it's someone who stole his brothers car. Why stop in the middle of nowhere then?
So, Blake thought his brother reported his car stolen but doesn't answer what happened with that situation. Now I'm curious about the car.
Blake finding a bag in the country, but again assuming that because it's in the middle of nowhere it's unnatural to be there. People litter in the country all the time. Plus, who actually takes a random found bag to their car to open it up? So bizarre.
I love how cool Blake is being - showing up at the hospital (after walking through town) with the exact bag the money was in. Not odd to show up and pay a bill with a bag of cash. How did he even know he had enough money to pay the bill? He did not count the money before hand.
"I'll kill you dead."
Made me chuckle. You can't kill someone alive.
Clearly Ray is the one that dropped the money off for payment.
I have zero attachment to these characters. The wife I know nothing about other than she wanted to use cloth diapers.
How could Cheryl have stolen the money when she wrote him a receipt? He literally had proof he paid.
How delusional is Blake when it comes to money? Cheryl admits she used half of the money to put a down-payment on a new car and he responds with;
"That was enough money to buy a brand new car. Two of them. Maybe more."
No sir, that is not enough for two or more cars. Maybe the author forgot it was only $13,000.
When we get to the part of him torturing Cheryl it just felt really repetitive. He just kept screaming "tell me the truth" and then she would say "I am telling you the truth". That seemed to really drag on.
I just don't know how Blake was able to go from barely even able to touch her and yelling at her and now suddenly he's able to rip out eyeballs and torture her.
That was so fast that the DVD was dropped off to Blake. He went to Cheryl's house to torture her and the man had already followed him and made a DVD of him raping his daughter. Also was able to make it back to Blake's house to drop it off. Does he not have neighbors?
This book just had a lot of sentences that didn't make sense. There's a part where Blake's asking his brother about who would rape a baby and then after that he says "is that even possible", but of course that's possible because he literally saw it happen. It felt redundant.
Blake rapes Ray with pool stick and then the author mentions that his anus was spread open like a vagina. Considering a pool stick isn't very wide and buttholes close up pretty fast I found this sentence odd. Now if he had used a baseball bat then yeah, I could see it.
So Rays going to die anyways and rather than try to help his brother and his niece (after hearing she was raped) he instead calls Mikey to warn him. It made me mad that Ray would rather help these people than his own brother.
I swear to God if this ends with the ending of A Serbian Film I will be so mad. Oh wow so it's going to be like that. I didn't think this ending was so outlandish and crazy, because it already exists.
Also he doesn't have to die from starvation. There are items in the room to kill himself with. He could shove the syringe into a vein and pump air into himself if he wanted it to end.
Final Thoughts:
This book is good if you like reading something that already exists in a movie and in a book.
The whole going to people's house to get revenge and figure out things reminded me too much of Groomer by Jon Athan . The whole time I was reading it I kept thinking I've ready read this story before.
Author says she wanted to keep people guessing but this book is so predictable. If you've read even one Splatterpunk book then you know what's going to happen and how it'll end.

This was a pretty quick read, not a bad story and I enjoyed some of the gory parts.

After seeing so much talk about this book and being a huge fan of Sea, I had to check it out for myself. I guess I must be beyond desensitized. At this point. I thought the book itself was great,but I’m not sure what people were expecting. This is extreme horror after all.
Blake is beyond stressed out. He is in dire financial debt due to his daughter having a cancer diagnosis when he stumbles upon a bag of money one night. His entire life changes and it’s definitely not for the better. I can only recommend this to seasoned readers of extreme horror. If that isn’t you, then this book isn’t for you !

Blake's life is stressful. Not making enough money to pay for his infant child's cancer medication and treatment, he's at a loss. Until one day he stumbles upon a bag full of money. He pays for his daughters treatments and still has money left over. But nothing comes for free....
Finally got around to this after hearing so much about it. I can see why people had an issue with the last couple of chapters but I did enjoy this one. It was a super quick read. I'm happy I went into this blind because the shock factor was definitely there.

I get it. It’s “extreme horror” but some things DON’T NEED to be written about. You can be very creative and disgusting and crude without involving infant rape and then said dead infants rape by their already traumatized father… it was just unnecessary. There is no escape in such horror. People read extreme horror for the sheer audacity, curiosity, and just to see how far they can actually go. But NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND should have brought such an unforgivable act to paper let alone for other people to read. Crazy shit happens every day. And what happened to this baby has happed to babies in real life but must the author go into such detail. Almost like they fantasize about it themselves. Fuck him and fuck you all who think this is a good story.

this book was written as if the author yearned to write in first person but was forced to write in third…. and that fucking sucked to read
this plot was just stolen from a serbian film and was a completely predictable ending if you’ve read splatterpunk before, but i guess it’s good if you’re new to the genre (and illiterate)

After picking myself and my chin up from the floor, I'm not going to sugar coat this book...it was fucking vile.
Good God...the whole book was disgusting and disturbing from start to finish.
Sea Caummisar doesn't hold anything back here...she lets everything go including her insanity and bravery!!
The story line was hard to swallow and even harder to digest.
It was sick, depraved and brutal...but that's what I like.
I enjoyed reading this book and hope Ms Caummisar see's her way to writing a sequel...I desperately need to know who (if anyone) gets eaten or if Blake manages to survive??🤯

I’m afraid this book ended up just really irritating me. Yes it was very dark in places and yes it was grim and twisted but that’s exactly what we want from Splatterpunk and that’s not the reason for my low rating.
I actually really didn’t like how this was written at all. Grammar doesn’t usually bother me much and I can certainly overlook an error here and there in books but this one had so many errors it ended up just being very irritating. Missing words, words that shouldn’t be there, and an incorrect character named used at one point as well. This needs some serious proof reading again.
I don’t like to judge too harshly on writing style as I’m certainly no writer myself and I have massive respect for people that can write and publish books. But unfortunately it didn’t feel like there was much substance to the writing or plot of this book.

Obviously, people who read extreme horror and are fans of the genre don't need to be coddled and told "that's extreme horror for you!" when they dislike a book. This genre is filled with lackluster books that pick at low-hanging fruit to shock and disturb people, and this book is just another one to add to the pile. The writing is so dull and lackluster that I almost put it down before we even got into the "extreme horror" of it all, and the "extreme horror" in question is just like anything else you'd find in another book. Distasteful, uninspired slop. The author stating they only added the necrophilia baby rape because the book would've been "boring otherwise" is all you really need to know about this book - even with this awful plot point, the rest of the book was still a boring slog of uninteresting characters with no depth and 0 plot creativity.

I can’t lie. I have a really hard time reviewing extreme horror and splatterpunk, because obviously, the subject matter itself is quite controversial and twisted. So let me be clear; Books aren’t real life. These are fiction based stories. Just because I read books of this genre doesn’t mean I agree with what’s happening in the book.
With that out of the way, I had heard a LOT about this book from others in the splatterpunk/ horror fb groups I’m in. The last 1/3 of the book gets really, really intense. It will bypass most people’s triggers by far. So don’t pick up this book if you have ANY triggers. 😂
I had to put the book down at the end and stare at the wall for a minutes. 🤷🏻♀️

I've struggled with this review. Not really knowing where to place this. The last 20% of the book was my limit and I wish I'd dnf'd if I'm honest. Children are my limit IF there's no revenge plot to proceed it. I need the perpetrator to be punished. This one wasn't so it didn't feel right to me. I wouldn't recommend it but it shocks and disgusts so essentially does what it's supposed to as an extreme.

I enjoyed the book enough I read it in one straight sitting without 'getting bored'.... until the last 6 or so pages.
Im a fan of horror/splatter punk but certain things I just can't mentally handle if the writer chooses a certain style/method of writing/elaborating/scene setting.
There was one section of the book that unsettled me some, but the writing and shortness of the statement made it 'easy' to read past...
The 'ending' although, I wasnt able to continue reading, threw the book to the floor crying and had to gather myself.

horrendously written with fucking horrendous content. you can all tell me that i signed up for extreme horror so i got what was coming with the story matter, but ive read far better horror with less "extreme" plot elements that feels more impactful because the writers communicate it in such a better way. this reads like a teenager wrote it. the dialogue is stilted and cringe, and relies on the protagonist talking to himself in a super unnatural way to communicate any detail. i would sooner read "cows" or "things have gotten worse since we last spoke" again than this shit. just terrible in every sense of the word.

Brutal!
Caummisar is brilliantly depraved and I am here for it. This isn't extreme just to be extreme this is a well plotted story with interesting characters. Dark, sad, gory and shocking you'll experience a range of emotions reading this.

Omg!! Disgusting and Vile but that’s why I read EXTREME HORROR”. I won’t ruin this book by saying anything about it but just know it is vile. The events in the books all line up but are shocking. The author put a warning on Amazon that it’s so bad she’s disgusted with herself. lol. It’s that bad, but that good. You won’t find this on amazon right now, and the author doesn’t have any copies to sell. I’m trying to talk her into releasing this again, to many people want to read this after a review by someone who apparently doesn’t know what splatterpunk or extreme horror means. If you can get your hands on a copy, and I don’t know how you can…and you don’t have trigger warnings, are into disgusting and vile splatterpunk books…you must read this!!!

The content in the end of this book reminded me of a certain movie. The premise of the book could very well happen as far as someone stealing an organizations money and then that organization targeting his family.
The grief you would feel if something like this happened wasn’t translated very well for me in the book I didn’t really feel it. But the concept was an interesting one.
This book contains child R and M so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with those triggers.

This started off strong but by the time we started jumping around the povs, it became eh.
Now be mindful of the trigger warnings on this one. Its gross, abusive, and has content harming a child and the child's corpse.
I think if the MC was someone that was less a cardboard cutout and more of a character, then one would care more, but alas in this really short story, I didn't like him at all.
Finally, this is a very short dark tale that one can read quickly which is how it received two stars.

When does extreme horror go too far? The answer is about two-thirds of the way through "The Found Bag of Doom" by Sea Caummisar! This is undisputedly one of the most insane reads out there, complete with an afterword where the author explains how they are disgusted with themselves. A genuinely impressive literary achievement which I would not recommend if you have any kind of triggers or boundaries.

This was mostly just gore and shock value with very little plot to support it. I know we all read extreme horror for the shocking gore, but I still expect a splatterpunk story to have a moderately original plot and relatively robust narrative behind it. The writing was fine, at least - a lot of extreme horror tends to have lots of typos and grammatical errors but I think I just saw one typo, so that's not bad.

I'd give this zero stars if I could. It's written horribly. Tons of grammatical errors. Unoriginal and tries way too hard to be shocking. I've read lots of extreme horror but this uses CP and abuse as a crutch and main plot-point while simultaneously having no redeeming qualities. Won't be reading anything else from this author.
