The dust has settled after the attack on the distillery, and things are looking up. Despite trouble from the military, it seems like we will make it through the winter.
But then a brutal murder rocks my small world, and suddenly nothing is certain anymore.
Separated from the one person I hold dear, I am forced to journey further and push harder for answers than I ever have before. But when we find ourselves backed into a corner, my small group of allies starts to fracture under the pressure. With new lies coming to light at every turn, I’m beginning to doubt whether I can trust the people I thought were my friends.
Worse, with new threats I don’t fully understand, my skills won’t be enough to keep me alive—I don’t have a choice but to rely on my frenemy, Bas.
Can we expose the secrets we need to save ourselves? And if we do, will there be anything left of our old lives to return to?

REDEMPTION is book three in a four-book slow burn dark romance series. It cannot be read as a standalone. The series contains mature language, intense sexual situations (including references to non- and dubious consent), and violence in keeping with the post-apocalyptic setting. It is not intended for readers under the age of 18. The series ends with a happy ending.

Still Drafting Review - I just finished this series this weekend.......I WANT MORE FROM THIS WORLD
I Loved it alll This was intense, gripping, intelligently a very smokin’ hot read. Dystopian - Crime syndicate - Romantic Suspense - action - secrets- Injustice - Betrayal - Strong FMC who should be front & centre - MCs with backstorys - Gay Rep - Fantastic found Family
Lets talk about the Slow burn - building the believeable foundations of their connection, as they learn about each other as it comes.
Characterisation - The character traits and development -character traits and development
Plot - The superb attention to details that make each story in this series stand out
Me I got a crush on Theo, Hardwicke....I sure loved Savannah too - I really think strong indication of great writing is when you always feel drawn to the secondary characters enough to care and feel them on the page come to life.
I read this in KU - & liked it so much I bought the ebooks for rereading.
I'm so invested in the story of the whole series at this point that it feels harsh to give this 3 stars but I really can't justify giving it any more because, even though it's enjoyable, it's still kinda ... bad.
I don't know if this needed to be a whole book on it's own. It felt like a whole lot of nothing happened in this book. When I got to the end, I was surprised that was going to be all there was for this one. The author seems very obsessed with the idea of ending all of their books on a cliffhanger. Usually, this would be fine, somewhat annoying from a reader's perspective, but fine to keep the intrigue going. However, the first line of each of the next book's then starts at a completely different point and it's like the cliffhanger didn't happen it all. In this one, it wasn't until page 13 that the cliffhanger was referenced and even then it was a very fleeting comment that didn't really address anything about it at all. Then, it wasn't until page 31 that we were finally told what had happened. So, this book has ended on another cliffhanger, but it doesn't make me want to jump to read the next one at all because I know, from the other books in the series, that it probably isn't even going to pick up where it left off.
Another thing I'm not a huge fan of is the FMC's personality in this book. All through the series, she's been feisty and good at wearing a 'mask' of emotions. Then, all of a sudden, in this book she's become some kind of shy, awkward teenager who can't even form coherent sentences which I don't think suited her at all.
All that being said, I'm invested at this point and I'm going to see the series through and although I have somewhat enjoyed it, it's definitely not a series I'd be recommending.
Savannah was treating her twin sister Harley who was injured again. She took the opportunity to give her a moral lesson.
The tone rose quite quickly as it often does when they disagree...
>>>>>>>>>>
Obstacles multiply in the complicated life of Harley who wants to fend for herself.
Lots of disappointments, betrayals and unforeseen events in the misadventures of Harley, an excellent main character who is rather unique and moving! The secondary characters are also great.
The ending is once again unexpected and surprising!
Looking forward to the sequel. I highly recommend!
So our heroine has really landed in trouble but with a bit of tunnel vision is not seeing the big picture out of concern for friends. The realistic relationships, character growth and world building continues in this third book. Harley has depended on only herself for so long....? It's a struggle for her to know when it's best to give in and take help. This was not my favorite of the three but was nessasary for book four. I can't wait!
I received this book for free and am happy to leave this reveiw.
This series is *chefs kiss*. De Clerk has woven a tale of mystery that for the first time in a while I can’t keep up with. Romantic tension is perfectly placed without overshadowing the storyline. Can’t wait for the next book!
