Wonderful resource for a unique way to approach teaching writing in the classroom. The creation of an alien race is a blast and students really enjoy it!

I really identified with Baines and Kunkel's philosophy of teaching writing. There are some really cool lesson plans in here (my favorite is the AP Aliens project). Also, that final essay was a very powerful way to end the book. I can see myself returning to this book once I enter the classroom.
