Remember: God's Covenants and the Cross

Rate this book
Remember the God who remembers us.

God’s covenants throughout the Old Testament show the character of God’s promises to the people of Israel. In this book, Susan Robb leads readers through the covenants with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David, followed by the new covenant established on Maundy Thursday. The Lenten story culminates with an examination of the cross as another example of God’s promise for a new world.

Susan Robb teaches readers the basic lessons of the covenants through a mixture of biblical history and personal stories. Her pastoral character and warm tone provide a basis for understanding God’s promises through history and the role of Jesus’s passion and crucifixion in the history of the covenants.

Remember can be read alone or used for a six-week group study and church wide Lenten program. Components include a comprehensive Leader Guide and video teaching sessions featuring Susan (with closed captioning).

I could not put it down!

A wonderful book on the theology of covenants from the Methodist/Wesleyan perspective, even though I am a lifelong Catholic.

I definitely appreciated reading this material during the Lenten season 2025.

Thank you, Susan Robb, for your wonderful writing!

God's faithful love endures forever! He never gets tired of us!

Hallelujah!

I grew up a Free Will Baptist and then in 1983 began attending a UMC church. I knew nothing about Lent. I now have a better understanding but find it less than necessary. I’m a foot washing Baptist when it comes down to it I guess. But the book was very informative. It assisted my understanding of the time periods.

Read this book as part of a Lenten bible study. I liked the way it brought the covenants of the Old Testament of Noah, Abraham, Moses and David and tied them together with God's covenants with us through Jesus.
