A brief, concise, and highly readable account of the geological origin and evolution of Cape Cod. Written with the layman in mind, it is a fine account of the forces and grandeur of the last Ice Age, and its account of the subsequent and continuing evolution of the land is a fine reminder of the ever changing nature of the dynamic earth; "all is sand"-- quite literally in this case.
