Young’s commentary stands as a fine example of careful, reverent, and scholarly biblical exposition. His work displays outstanding exegesis, thoroughly engaging with the Hebrew text while also bringing in insights from church history, archaeology, and linguistic studies. Young demonstrates a remarkable ability to balance academic precision with pastoral warmth, making this commentary both intellectually rich and spiritually edifying.

I love Young's Christ-centered hermeneutic. He consistently points the reader to the redemptive purposes of God fulfilled in Christ, yet never in a way that feels forced. Rather than imposing Christ upon the text, he draws Him out faithfully from the unfolding revelation of Isaiah, showing how the prophet’s words anticipate the person and work of the Messiah.

Young also remains conservative regarding the authorship and unity of Isaiah, which I deeply appreciate

Overall, this commentary is a model of faithful biblical scholarship. It is rigorous yet readable, academic yet devotional. I could not recommend it more highly.
