There was only one impassioned, quotable, and intelligent article in this book. Having read quite a few books on the subject by now, I have understandably fallen to comparing them. This one, I'm sorry to say, is not high on my list. I wish to learn something new and gain a new perspective when I open these books offering a diverse collection of articles both in support and in opposition to genetic engineering. Nope, nope, nope.

To get an overview of the field and the differing reactions to genetic engineering, this is a very convenient book with well-chosen selections.
