As for her take-it- or-leave-it deal—he's in. He's willing to see how this gamble plays out, because his heart says there will be no losers in Vegas on this bet.

5 stars. This was amazing! I seriously loved everything about it. It’s romantic as hell, real and likable characters, and a story that kept me hooked from beginning to end.
Camille has a lot of insecurities from her childhood and the strained relationship with her stepmother. She also has panic attacks and I definitely related to her so much. She’s very intelligent, kind, but guarded. I loved her and I thought her character growth was superb. Adam was such a patient and charming guy and I loved how smitten with Camille he was from the very start. The romance is so swoony and emotional. I loved every single moment of it. I’m already obsessed with this series and I’m only two books in.
Loved the chemistry between Adam and Camilla. Loved how he supported her fashion show to demonstrate how important she was to him. Hated how Camilla allowed Moreen, her jealous and vindictive step-mother, to get in her head and convince her that she was "less than." Wicked step-mom needed a beat down with her broom- acting like a witch and all!
I can't believe this book has an average of 4.5 stars! I wanted to be generous with it-- I like the characters and the general idea of the plot-- but the craft is really lacking. It feels like the work of a 10th grader who wrote each scene as ideas occurred to her, resulting in painfully contorted sentences, run-ons, fragments, and inane redundancies. For some unfathomable reason these problems weren't touched by the editing process. Along with that comes a lack of sufficient motivation for the characters. Adam falls SO hard and fast for Camille, but why? As much as we want to root for her, that very basic question is not satisfactorily addressed. The stepmother is evil, sure, is that *quite* enough to justify everything she's done?
Okay, this story is outside of my cultural experience area. I picked it up because I'm a nut for fairytales, and anything about "Cinderella" gets my attention. But even ole ladies like me can learn something new occasionally.
The story is well written, and the plot premise is refreshing -- after all, who doesn't know the plot of Cinderella and the prince? Old fairy tales need all the help they can get to retain their vitality and interest. If I were 22 and not 72, I'm sure I could have grooved right along with it, but as this ole leopard can't change her spots, and I wasn't ready for this about-face in my fairytale world, I'm giving it 4 stars. All my fairytale experiences feature blue fairies, red fairies, yellow fairies, white fairies, and evil dudes are always dressed in black. So this story is outside my Fae World boundaries. :)
This book was so good! I enjoyed it so much. Camille was very insecure about her weight, but it took a man like Adam to show her that he loved all of her. Moreen was a sick twisted lady hat needed her whole life check. She stopped Camille from living her life to the fullest with her selfish ways, and hurtful words. I’m so happy Camille was able to overcome her insecurities and let Adam love her. Very great book.
What a sensational storyline! I applauded each time, " Camille and Adam" supported the other. I am excited that the objective concerning a person's intelligence and business acumen was pleasantly included with physical appearance to consider a person's acceptability for love.
First time in my years of reading, I actually wanted to slap a character.
This book is about Camille with years of torture from a step mother caused low self esteem even into adulthood and Adam one of the triple threat Donovan's who seems to have it all. Love has no boundaries lf it's meant to be it will be.
This book was good down to the last page. This book was filled with love but also had moments of cruel behavior from annoying step mother. The Donovan"s are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
I loved it. It shows that know matter your size or how good looking you are that love out weights it all. Even with low self esteem love can change things.
Camille Davis is a successful fashion designer with her own business, but she didn’t have a pleasant childhood. Her mother died when she was very young and her father remarried her stepmother Moreen Scott Davis soon after that. Moreen hated everything about her stepdaughter and did everything in her power to make Camille’s life miserable. It even changed her relationship with her beloved father, whom she loved dearly. But Camille managed to build a great life for herself.
Adam Donovan is the third brother of the “Triple Threat Team” and has always gotten what he wanted in life. He always wanted to buy the house of the late Randolph Davis, but the man didn’t want to sell at that time. Now his widow Moreen wants to get rid of it as soon as possible, so Adam couldn’t be happy. His company will renovate the home and sell it with a huge profit, but then she walks into his life again, Camille the daughter and she isn’t happy with the situation. Apparently she owns half of the house and she doesn’t want to sell, but proposes an alternative plan to the Donovan company.
A Cinderella Affair by A.C. Arthur is a wonderful book to read. It shows the struggle of a young woman who doesn’t seem to fit in society, but is willing to open herself to one of the most handsome bachelor on the planet.
Camille and Adam have briefly met before and couldn’t get the other out of their mind. So when Camille walks into Adam’s life again, he is determined to seduce her and get her out of his system once and for all. But Camille is no ordinary woman and he falls in love with her and has to do everything in his power to convince her that he truly cares about her.
But one particular person wants to destroy everything in Camille’s life, including her relationship with Adam and she won’t stop at nothing to see that happen. Is their love strong enough to survive all of this?
Camille and Adam are great characters; it’s great to see Camille finally come into her own and looking to the future like that. This is a book that will give you one pleasant afternoon or evening.
A. C. Arthur has created another great read! She brings to light the struggles many women go through in today society, women young and old, who do not fit into that "Supermodel" mold that our society has come to expect of women. I appreciate her for taking on this topic and addressing the fact that women, no matter how they look or what their size, want the exact same things love, respect, equality and if possible their own little "happily ever after". As usual the characters were well developed and the storyline flowed flawlessly. I enjoyed watching Camille grow throughout this novel, with the comfort and acceptance Adam provided she flourished into a more self-assured and confident woman. She was able to see herself through his eyes and put away the negativity her "step-monster" drilled into her from the time she was young. "A Cinderella Affair" was a refreshing story of two people who seemed fated to be together. And although neither would admit they were looking for love, they also didn't fight too hard not to fall for eachother. Throughly enjoyed the Donovan family and all their antics. Anxiously anticpating the take-down of last the "Triple Threat Brother", Trent Donovan.
Camille finds herself without a mother at a young age. This leaves her father Ronald to rise her and everything was going great until he went off and married this mean lady. Her step mother Moreen was the means women in the world that didn't like Camille at all. She did everything in her power to destroy Camille. The more Moreen hated on her the stranger it made her and Camille turned out to be a clothing designer of CK Designs of her own business. Her father dies of cancer and she is left with a fortune from her father.
One day she gets a call from her friend Dana to tell her that Moreen was going to sell her father house right from underneath her. Camille takes off to Las Vegas to stop it. With all the drama she comes face to face with a man name Adam Donovan that Moreen had hired to sell the property. Love is in the air for Adam and Camille, but will the love survive all the drama that comes with it?
This is my third book I have read from the author and she haven't let me down yet. This is a read for the summer time if you are looking to read some romance.
BBW designer Camille is a woman who has struggled with her own self identity for years. It was not helped by the fact that her step mother Moreen was such an evil person. After the death of her father, Camille struggles but her very successful design business, that caters to larger adults and teens, helps her cope. In comes Adam Donovan, the youngest of the Triple-Threat Donovans. He helps her see herself for the gem she is. This is the second installment in this series, published back in 2007 (supposedly three years before the first book in the series). I still didn't like the interchapter transitions. They often left me having to reread to understand where the author had taken the reader. Can't wait to see what's in store for Trent.
This book was so good, I think I inhaled it. Even though I like Camille, I think Adam had so, so, much patience with her. I also like the fact that Camille was successful in her own right, and that Adam was too and not living off his parents. I'm glad Camille had him chase her and held out for as long as she could. Her stepmother got what was coming to her. This was another good read Ms. Arthur. The way you write your stories keep me interested and want to keep reading the next book. Great job!
Loooooved this story. You read so many books about these romances with women with perfect bodies and all the confidence in the world. It was nice to read Camille's story because she's so relatable and realistic. And I love the way Adam loves her. I kind of wish there was a more I the ending involving Kim, at least another appearance. But overall it was a great read! Ready for the next Donovan now!
This was truly a Cinderella story; predictable and almost unbelievable. (Including a 30 year old virgin and a marriage proposal within a month.)
Camille is insecure and Adam spends almost the entire book trying to convince her of her worth and beauty. I wish the author had spent more time on the "twist" and further developed it instead of throwing it in at the very end.

ADAM AND CAMILLE'S STORY WAS TRULY A FAIRY TALE OF LOVE COMING TO LIFE. THE DONOVAN'S ARE ONE INTERESTING FAMILIES; CAMILLE NOT ONLY FOUND LOVE WITH ADAM, BUT SHE ALSO DISCOVERED A LOVE WITHIN HERSELF THAT SHE ALLOWED TO BE BURIED BY LOW SELF-ESTEEM.
if you love reading about family trilogy. this book is a must!. Great family interactions and sibling love between the characters. and beautiful romance written. another favorite of mine.
really enjoyed this book. It was an easy and enjoyable read. I was able to relate to this book. Adam and Camille's story is a page-turner. I am looking forward to the next book by AC Arthur which will more than likely be Trenton & Tia St. Martin's story...at least that's who I believe it will be.
